Quite shocked at how terrible my experience was. I waited for quite a while while the person in front of me asked the worker 20 questions. That was not the problem, the issue was the worker did not answer the lady’s questions correctly. She was asking for a bowl that was not spicy and the employee told her to get the spiciest thing on the menu and told her the flames next to it were indicating that it was a popular item…clearly at the bottom of the menu it shows that the flames indicate heat level. The customer kept double checking that it was not spicy and the employee confirmed 3x I sure hope that old lady didn’t get hurt from the employee not understanding what was being asked. I ordered a burrito and 2 tacos and I asked for the tacos to be made as they are listed on the menu and the employee kept asking me what I wanted…I said 3x to make them as they show on the menu and she just looked at me like I had 6 heads. I had to read the ingredients to her and then she mixed up the proteins on the tacos. The chicken was dry, looked like it had been sitting out all day. The avocado was brown not green, Honestly I wasted over $30 and will not be coming back. Queso was the only good thing on the menu but...

I came in hoping to find a more affordable alternative to my $14-a-burrito weekly fix, and California Tortilla did not miss the mark on service, quality, or taste, but kept a similar price tag to its competitors. The biggest difference, I noticed, was the lack of a salsa bar. You have to get salsa as an extra ($2.89 for Small Salsa + Chips as of 18FEB25)
The chicken here is very good. I got steak on my burrito, but when I tried my partner's meal, that featured chicken, I was blown away. I asked the cashier if they knew the recipe, but, sadly, they wouldn't fork it over. The Wall of Flame was intersting and had plenty of hot sauce to pick from for no additional charge, but I prefer a salsa bar.
Drink area had a huge selection. The lemonade was top-tier and it blends well with the unsweet tea that is next to it.
California Tortilla is a fine addition to my burrito store collection. (And better...

They have bowls, burritos, quesadillas, tacos, a zillion sauces to choose from (see pics), and freshly made lemonades. Kids meals contain chips, queso, a cookie and a drink. have found my new favorite place. Sorry Moe’s.
The owner is super duper friendly, too. He even got my kids to try some spicy sauce from the wall of flame! This amazing place is the reason why the term “evolve or die” exists for restaurants. If they start offering free chips— competitors beware. California Tortilla listened to what people want: clean and nutritious food without the additives, toxic oils or preservatives....
