On average I spend a couple of hundred dollars at Michaels per month. I have always had great relationships with the employees. And it breaks my heart to say that after the horrible customer service received tonight, I will no longer be supporting the company. When I asked the manager for an employee who helps me every time I'm there, she quickly responded that employee was no longer with them due to "personal reasons." The manager did offer her help, which was appreciated. I said "it's okay but thank you anyways," and began to walk away. She stopped me to tell me any employee could help me just as well. Once again, I responded, "Thank you. I understand but it's okay," and continued trying to walk away. She then harshly proceeded to tell me "ANYONE could help me just as well!" I was SHOCKED. I wish that was the complete story for the review, however It isn't. I returned to my poorly stocked beading section and she then walked up to an employee beside me stated, "She is so rude." With how much money I spent in that store I was extremely upset by this comment. I said "excuse me?" To which she loudly responded, "I was talking to my employee."
With all that being said: I love my Michaels employees and know almost all of them by name. In the last week or so 4 employees have quit for "personal reasons." After tonight I know that reason is THE MANAGER.
I look forward to the day the Manager is let go for poor customer and employee service. However, until that day my money will be spent at other craft stores who will give me the extremely kind customer service my Michaels...
   Read moreI used to love going to Michaels to find crafts and different items. I signed up to take a crafts class in person today (Sept 10, 2023, from 2-4 p.m.) I got a text message this morning (9/10/23) stating a reminder of the class today. I show up 10 minutes prior to the class I walk around the store to see if I see the classroom or table where it would take place. I couldn't find it I tried looking for a sales associate but there was no one in sight. I ended up finally finding someone and she was a bit rude to me. Her name was Paige. I said that I was here for a crafts class and she said "We don't do classes only online" I literally told her "It is it's in person" I showed her my confirmation email and she then "Oh well we normally would have out in the front for the kids" and since there was no table set up there was no class.
I would have appreciated it if Michaels would have sent an email or text stating that it was canceled. I drove 20 minutes just to be told there was no class by someone who didn't even know that the company they worked for offered in-person classes. I saw a bunch of other families with young children going in and I assumed they were there for the activity as well because I saw them walk out not even 10 minutes later. I signed up to take more in-person classes at Michaels but I will not be going and will never take classes at Michaels in Mayfaire again. Poor communication and the sales associate was very rude and clearly didn't know certain things...

I was looking on the App for a bow christmas tree topper that I could get in the store before I drove all the way up there. I found one it said they had it in stock in the store and it clearly stated that there was a 50% off sale or a BOGO in store and online. so the tree topper would have been $8.49 in store per the sale as stated online. So when I got to the store I found the topper and some other stuff and went to checkout and the cashier visibly angry that she had to ring me up already had an attitude but either way I asked her to check the price for the sale, she said it was $16.99 (which is the Regular price) i explained the app and the listed sign in store was $8.49 she proceeded to argue with me and called her manager who also refused to honor the sale listed online as an in store and online sale even tho I showed her the proof multiple times it was extremely humiliating being that there were alot of people at the other registers and in line so instead of spending my money in this store I walked out and she proceeded to talk about me and insult me not only to her manager on the phone but to the people behind me as I walked off this place is terrible and chaotic, unorganized, over priced and overrated customers shouldn't be treated this way if there is a sale you should honor that sale especially if the price is literally right there DO...
