I’ve been coming here for years. Since 2015. The pizza it’s pretty good which is why I keep coming back. But after the last incident of my favorite staple pizzas places may no longer be a recommendation on my list to visit when in s.fl. I come in for a large pizza and that particular day on a Sunday evening the nicks typical crowd from the near by bars dragged a few drunk or high individuals in decided along with the cashier. The girl with the ponytail. Along with her high friends she who looked intoxicated that day proceeded to chat & exchange numbers as the line of hungry customers began to grow. Almost wrapping around the pizza bar. To help with the line. I and a friend who now became a believer of nicks pizza we moved behind the chatty friends to allow more customers in the line. Seeing that they talkative friends were almost closing out my friend moved forward so he wouldn’t get missed in the busy line. Trying to order our food next the now “coherent” cashier looks at my friend and a customer who was standing next by, a white man and my friend was a black man. The cashier begins to look at who should be first and starts taking the white man who came after use order. We acknowledge that we were came first and that we were waiting behind her friends tell us to go to the back of line to order. We had been there now 15mins. We continued to say we were here and asked the individual who carelessly forgot we were before him brushes us off and says oh you can go. Mine you we come get get pizza there like clock work and know you pay for your pizza first and than order. The wild part is even the old pizza maker asked if we told the cashier if we told her first. This is this must have been one of the most embarrassing and frustrating moments for me, even worst being in a city that embraces equality rights that being black should be my least concern. Like all good things I would hate to put this place to rest for the bad service . I would hate for anyone to experience this. So beware if your shade is a little dark when coming to try a...
Read moreThis pizza place has some of the most dishonest and nasty attitude employees working. They charged me $213.52 for 1 slice of $6 pizza and didn't give me a receipt or I didn't see the charge on the receipt and threw it away. I went back a week later when I saw the charge and they said they had to find the receipt and would call me back 4 days later. I never got a call back. My bank will not dispute the charge without proof of purchase or receipt. I called them back and the girl on the phone was very adamant that I couldn't speak to her brother (giovanni) and that I'm out of luck. I told her that they stole 213$ from me and I want to speak to the owner and to have him call me back so we can fix this. She basically repeated herself 20 times and is incapable of being decent or respectful to someone who just got ripped off by their company. Giovanni "if that's his real name" needs to find the transaction and reverse it or I will have to pursue a lawyer. I don't know what you're trying to hide but this all could have been resolved by making sure you refunded my money 2 weeks ago. And fyi the girl on the phone told me I was being recorded and I find that funny considering you can record and keep track of phone calls but you can't record or keep track of all your restaurant transactions? I'd hate to be the person to do your taxes. I heard that this owner also tried to open another business venture recently and that it failed and closed. I would steer way clear of these people because they're theives and the pizza...
Read moreI don’t usually come here but I know it’s been here a while and has a good rep for pizza. I just needed a quick slice for dinner for the night. Waited a good 15 min in a short line. Ordered a single slice of cheese from a very nice woman. Finally ready. Cashier sees my cash out ready to pay and says, “oh great, you’re paying cash? So that will be…$5.75.” At first I wasn’t paying attention. So then I clarified that $5.75 is the cash price for the slice of pizza. She said it was. I was dead sober and my jaw dropped. Native Floridian also a New Yorker and the pizza on my block in the city is half the price, double the size, and WAY better. My intent wasn’t to compare it to NY pizza. But for a plain single cheese regular slice, this price is outrageous. I showed her the slice with like half uncovered in cheese, thin crust, so I’m not really sure where their overhead is coming from. She blamed it on pandemic, I respectfully declined that argument for 2024 for pizza. They are gouging prices for being a pizza place in a plaza full of bars late on a weekend night. Of course. Be honest though. You’re ripping your customers off. I actually didn’t have enough cash on hand, I though $5 would be more than enough. I paid with card for an up charge to a total of $6.12! It was violating. This isn’t an airport, a football game, a concert, and your pizza really isn’t THAT good. I know this post is snarky and petty, but I genuinely felt knowingly taken advantage of, but now I know for...
