So, it’s Saturday. I was under the impression this place opened at 12 PM. At least that’s what time it says they open on their store sign in front of the building, on Google, AND on their Facebook page. I got to pelican’s about 10 minutes before 12. So I patiently sat in my car waiting for them to open. I see employees going into the building to open the place. At least thats what I figured. 12 PM (opening time) came & gone but there’s still no one behind the window, the blinds are still closed, and the open sign is still off. By this time there was a small line of other customers in front of the building waiting as well. They too were under the impression that this place opened at 12. About 10 min. After 12 an employee gets outta her car to walk into pelicans and Without looking at, or paying ANY attention to any of the customers whatsoever, She says, with the most disconcerting tone, “WE DON’T OPEN UNTIL 1 O’ CLOCK! 😠🤬😤” At this point, another employee came outside & saw the line, which was about 5 other people. The employees gave the impression that even though they didn’t open until 1, they would go ahead and open “early” at 12. So we all continued to wait for someone to open the window at any moment but 5, 10, almost 15 min. Went by and no one ever came to open the window & take orders. I understand we need to “be thankful for those who showed up”, but I’m not thankful for someone who “shows up” 5 min before opening time and then decides to open an hour later than the original open time. That’s...
Read moreWith only 1 worker when we were there, she was making sno cones.
The benches were filthy, covered with dried, melted sno cone icees. Tables needed cleaning also.
The worker or owner had a very expensive looking huge SUV parked outside, so it looks like the owners can afford to fix up the venue, level off the ground where people stand and sit, before someone falls. AND.. at $5.60 for a sno cup made of ice and kool-aid, with a teaspoon of whipped cream, Pelican's Snoballs needs to upgrade into the 21st century.
They'd get a lot more business, and happier customers. The 1900s are over.
Please update your drab, depressing, hard to enter back onto Broad Street (Hwy 81) Snoball shop.
The place looks very tacky, tired, and not clean and inviting, especially for...
Read moreStopped in from being up in north GA to grab a snow cone. Got treated very rudely by Cory & a girl in pink because I was told I couldn’t park where I parked due to restaurant potentially getting busy. Keep in mind I pulled up front where there were zero signs that state “no parking”. I had no problem moving after I received my order because obviously i’m very well aware i’m not in anyone’s way. This could have been handled in a completely different manor but it was not. Threatening to call the cops, recording my family in the vehicle, slamming the screen laughing & also yelling at me? These two workers exceeded poor service tremendously. Absolutely disgusting &...
