(Long review) Honestly, I would give 0 stars on service. Me and my bf were out with our friends, since we’ve been together (almost a year) we haven’t encountered really bad service as we experienced last night. First off, it’s a Friday night and it’s not even that busy, we were shocked. Idk if the server was new or what. The food was ok, just ok. I’ve never been a fan of Applebees but this is where my bf and friends wanted to go. He enjoys his ribs here. I liked my onion rings. But the service was horrible. So the waitress is named Alyssa I think, I assume she forgot about our drinks, we all ordered water and two bar drinks, we can see our bar drinks waiting at the bar, she eventually comes back by because she had to close out her 1 other table when she walks by us then walks backwards cause she realizes she has forgotten our drinks, says let me go check on the drinks, she goes to get the bar drinks, brings the water a little later. We probably waited 10 min maybe longer for drinks, then we finally order: everyone ordered appetizers… my bf gets his Buffalo wings, but the other couple didn’t get any of their buffalo wings or plain wings, they didn’t get celery with theirs. (the whole time I bet they were sitting under the heat lamp I’m sure) We were gunna ask the server who brought it (she’s like got some wings here, ok but all of us ordered wings??? What’s the flavor we ask..) but she walked off before we could ask about the other apps, we didn’t like her mannerism, didn’t ask if we needed anything..Alyssa hasn’t made a visit back since we had our water and took our order, she’s gone the whole night. Not sure where she is. Then we finally see her, my bf almost done with his app, we say where are the other wings, she says “what the hell” runs to the kitchen, brings the wings out, but right before our food is coming toward us, she states the wings was supposed to come out before our food to the others. Then the other person in my party didn’t even get her meal she ordered which was a large salad. She brings that couple minutes later. Then my bf asked for wet naps for his hands, we never got those. Disappears for another 20 min and we can see her talking to other servers or running around... not sure if her tables or across the way, but I didn’t see any other tables, but us. My bf goes to the bathroom to wash his hands since she never came back. We’re finished, waiting for our check. She finally comes back. Takes our card. We ask to see the manager, who didn't seem sincere about the situation. She didn’t even look like a manager. Won’t dressed like one. I can’t even remember if she said sorry or not but she said she would give us Applebees cash passes or whatever. she’s gone for a bit, comes back, says she’s only got one card left… (what in the world) must be out cause you’ve given every single one of them out cause of all the neg reviews here. We just say don’t even worry about it cause we have a movie to catch. Then Alyssa comes back all mad grabbing our plates (could’ve said sorry I was busy or something), and my bf is always a good tipper, like over 20 percent always but this was absolutely terrible service so we gave her what she deserved, we would understand if it was busy. Another thing is, no one is going around checking on tables, that should be one of the managers jobs, that’s what they do at outback. Don’t think we will make a visit back here. I just moved here and started going to this Applebees back in August of 2024 and had my first issue with them when I ordered a burger and as soon as I took it out of the bag before even opening it, I could see some long thick black hair going completely across my burger touching it. Wasn’t my hair because I’m blonde and wasn’t my bf’s he doesn’t have long black hair. It was so disgusting I couldn’t even eat it I had to throw it away. I contacted Applebees and the manager reached out to me and sent me out a meal pass to make up for it. So I obviously continued going there to eat and it seemed like after complaining this one time, the cook and workers there had it out for me. It didn’t matter how much money I spent there or how many times I went there to their specific Applebees no matter what, my order was messed up and it started to look intentional. The manager Jason emailed me profusely apologizing and saying I wanna make it up to you I can send you another meal pass in the mail for you and I never ended up receiving it. So, I went to order there again to speak with him there about not receiving it and he ended up speaking to me at my car in person once again apologizing and saying “it must of gotten lost in the mail” and that he will leave out a meal pass with my name on it next time I order again.. My stupid ass believed him again and ordered ANOTHER time for the carside worker to tell me there’s no meal pass left out for me at all and even confirmed she heard the manager Jason say he would leave it out for me and didn’t. Ever since then, I have not gotten ahold of Jason the manager no matter how many times I email or go there and the very last most recent time I ordered, I ordered a 6oz steak and the steak literally looked like a rib patty it was so thick and when I cut into it it was completely raw pink I had to throw the entire meal away and drive all the way back to the Applebees and wait for my order to be remade. While I was there waiting for my order inside, another worker there tried even making jokes about my bad order and said “you should keep the other meal and heat it up later to eat” 🙄🙄🙄 HOW THE HELL CAN I EAT A THICK UNCOOKED RAW PINK STEAK???? I will never go back here again, I have never had this many issues going to a restaurant EVER!! And the fact that I am consistently getting ignored no matter how much money I spend there or how many times I try and get ahold of Jason the manager it doesn’t happen. Am thinking about even contacting corporate about this place because they need to know how terrible this...
Read moreI love the food here but I'm extremely disappointed over the treatment of our party today. We had a large party, six adults, one wheelchair, and two highchairs, which I know can be difficult to seat. We were fine with waiting. The hostess, upon hearing how many and what we needed, said "you'll have to wait" and took off to seat another party without writing down our information. On her return, my aunt again asked to be put in queue to wait for a table. The hostess again left without writing us down only to disappear while the front lobby filled up with other waiting guests. Several people turned and left when seeing there was no hostess helping people. She finally came back and started writing down the information for other parties while ignoring our party entirely. The manager finally wrote down our info and gave us an estimate of 15-20 minutes wait. After 20 minutes my grandfather inquired to the hostess about our remaining wait time and was told "well they just got their food so you'll just have to wait". We offered to be seated separately from one another and the manager finally did so. We were placed at three separate tables in immediate proximity to one another which was fine. The hostess was still standing by our table and I asked if anyone was getting the highchairs, she replied "I can't get them till everyone sits down"...well, I can't sit till my daughter is seated which means I need the high chair. I ended up having to demand a highchair, which I absolutely hated having to do, I don't like being rude. Several family members mentioned the hostess and manager being rude/short with them as well. We were finally seated after nearly an hours wait. Let me emphasize that the restaurant was by no means busy. Our entire section and the section next to ours were completely empty. No one was at the bar. Maybe 5-6 other tables were full in the whole place. Our server was wonderful and the food was the quality you'd expect from Applebee's. My complaint lies solely with the "hostess" and "manager", and my family, whom were regular patrons that brought in plenty of business, will not be returning to a restaurant that allows its staff to ignore and be rude...
