I was so excited to go to this place after getting it recommended from my friend who went to it in Miami. While the açaí in this place might be worthwhile especially if you’re coming from out of town, the simple lack of customer service is enough to never step foot in this place again. After walking in around 10 minutes before close, we were greeted with awful energy from the cashier at the front, a white guy with slick-back curly-brown hair. While I understand we came in right before close, working in hospitality has made me understand that you NEVER talk to your guests in a bad way no matter what time it is, and I would’ve respected him and his time more had he given me such grace. We were speaking about how his lack of customer service in spanish, in which he started responding back to us in Spanish saying that he had to catch the bus but since we came in he wouldn’t make it on time anymore and he lives 30 minutes away, in a very rude away as if it was our problem that he was going to be late even though we were completely out of the shop by 8:03(They closed at 8.) This to me was mind-boggling because a service professional should never be speaking back to a guest like that no matter what and we weren’t even speaking bad about him, just talking about the interaction and how it made us uncomfortable that he treated us that way. Moral of the story is we left there with a sour taste in our mouth and I’d much rather drive to a farther location to enjoy this açaí than deal with that type of customer...
Read moreAs someone who eats açaí bowls often, I’m well aware of how much the pricing has inflated. I came to this store and a few of the ingredients I added into my bowl were around $1.50 extra, with my total coming to $20 for a single bowl. I changed the size and attempted to modify it with pricing still around $18. I went forward with the purchase realizing that no matter how many times I adjusted it, it’s going to end up being between $15-$20. Fine. It was served to me an overflowing mess and I asked for a lid as I was taking it to go. I could not get the lid to fit so the team member assisted (this is relevant because I could not see the ingredients until I got home).
Upon my first few bites, I was horrified to find that the vegan protein powder I ordered was SCOOPED IN RAW and I had a mouth full of raw protein powder. I bit into several ice chunks and I could tell it hadn’t been blended all the way. The premium ingredients that had an added cost were added in laughable amounts of next to nothing. I was basically given nothing but frozen açaí, some granola, and a protein powder scoop.
This was a $20 snack that was already overpriced, but an overall dissatisfying experience to...
Read moreMy husband and I visited this past weekend and had a wonderful experience. We weren't aware of the parking in the back, so we parked nearby, but it's great to know for next time. I tried the Super Glow smoothie (not pictured, but definitely delicious). My husband customized his own acai bowl, choosing The Works size and adding granola, cacao, peanut butter, chia pudding, strawberries, goji berries, and chia seeds. He was really impressed and might have found his new favorite spot. The total was just under $30 for both of us, which felt reasonable considering the quality of the healthy options and the bowls offer unlimited toppings. They're currently offering take-out only, but this place is a great addition to...
