Step into Rocket Fizz Candy Store, and you'll be transported back in time to a whimsical world of sugary delights and nostalgic treats. This place truly captures the essence of an old-time candy store, with its vibrant colors, retro decor, and Willy Wonka vibes. While the prices may be a bit steep, the experience and selection make it a must-visit for any candy enthusiast.
The moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted by a kaleidoscope of colors and the sweet aroma of candies from decades past. Rocket Fizz boasts an impressive array of candies, ranging from classic favorites to obscure gems you thought were long gone. It's a treasure trove for anyone seeking a taste of childhood or a unique gift for a candy-loving friend.
But the candy is just the beginning. Rocket Fizz takes it a step further by offering an extensive selection of craft sodas. From traditional flavors to bizarre concoctions, there's a soda for every palate. It's like stepping into a soda lover's paradise, where you can purchase unique flavors and discover new favorites. The variety is mind-boggling, and the staff is always ready to help you navigate the sea of options.
During my visit, I was pleased to find that the city government parking was open to the public on the weekend, making it convenient to find a spot nearby. This added convenience made the trip even more enjoyable, as parking can often be a hassle in busy areas.
Now, let's address the elephant in the room: the prices. While Rocket Fizz offers an incredible selection of candies and sodas, it's important to note that the prices can be quite high. As a parent, I understand the disappointment of seeing your children's $20 not stretch as far as you'd hoped. It's the only reason I couldn't give this review a perfect five stars. However, I must say that the experience and the quality of the products do make up for the higher price tags to some extent.
Despite the prices, Rocket Fizz Candy Store remains a delightful destination for candy lovers of all ages. The nostalgic atmosphere, vast selection, and friendly staff make it a place worth visiting, even if it's just for a trip down memory lane. So, grab your sweet tooth and prepare for a sugar-filled adventure at Rocket Fizz. Just be sure to bring a little extra cash to fully indulge in the candy wonderland...
Read moreBeing as that walking is difficult for me my only gripe is parking around here. However I was able to park right across the street and was very impressed. I was greeted upon entering. The selection of candies and sodas is impressive. I wandered all around the store looking at everything while seeing what hard candies they had and I asked about sugar free. They are a bit more limited in these particular categories but they had some good items to choose from. It probably would have helped if I was not as picky about my tastes. They have a very large selection of salt water Taffy's. An impressive selection of foreign candies, and did I mention the selection of sodas. If only I could drink them. Not the best place for a diabetic who loves chocolate. Who doesn't want bacon candy? I behaved and bought a small bag for only $5.99 and I packed it full. I got some sugar free to indulge my taste and I already want to go back. The two young people working were very friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful place and is surrounded by a nice selection of stores...
Read moreThe bride and I are just back home after a whirlwind 2.3 day vacation in Orlando, FLA. We embraced a rendezvous with my pal who was at the PGA of America Show — the longest running and largest global gathering for the business of golf. We went to FLA with my pal’s wife. The four of us had fun for two days. Fabulous mini trip. Our theme was “Why not travel to Orlando to freeze instead of simply freezing in Toronto, ON Canada?" We bumped into Rocket Fizz after embracing a Scenic Boat Tour. We were literally Kids In A Candy Store. So much fun. I had no capacity to buy the bigger ticket items. We found room for a bag of candy. We enjoyed chatting with the young man at the checkout. Very charming. He even gifted us with a Canadian penny. Great experience. Would have included a photo of our bag of candy, but, uhm, it's nowhere...
