Went here with my daughter for lunch. The hostess was fun and seated us quickly. The kitchen staff were great and joked with us when the food was brought out. The bus girl was super nice and on top of all of the dishes. The food was fantastic! We both had great fish and chips and the reuben egg rolls were so good. They give you a large portion of fish for the price and it was fresh. Our waitress Lexi was the big disappointment. She was not very attentive at all. At one point she spilled beer all over our table and said "oh sorry I'll bring you a towel so you can clean it up". I thought that was strange since she was the one who made the mess but it didn't end up mattering because she never returned with the towel. After 7 minutes I got up and grabbed a pile of napkins from the nearby station to clean it ourselves and my daughter threw them all out in the restroom. A cool thing here is that you get free fresh popcorn. Lexi couldn't be bothered to fill us in but we saw and overheard other servers tell their tables and figured it out on our own. Just would have been nice to know when we first sat down, or got our drinks, or appetizer, or ever. The last bit of fun was when I ordered another drink that took forever to arrive. Here I was eating salty fish and chips patiently waiting for my drink. Where could it be? Was it there sitting at the bar? Does Lexi know where it is? Oh there she is chatting up front with other employees having a ball. It did finally arrive but I had to chug it since the bill had been paid and we were ready to go. I don't know if they split up tips here or not so I still left a tip because everything else about our visit was so awesome but I know someone who didn't...
Read moreThe only thing Irish about the menu is the restaurant name. If you want stir fry this is your place! (Seriouslyy... what Irish pub serves stir fry? This one!) If you want bangers and mash you'll be disappointed. Its not on the menu. Stay away from the Friday haddock special. The haddock tastes and feels freezer burnt. The "house" fries are Sysco frozen shoestring fries. Not what you'd expect from an Irish Pub. The Irish Espresso Martini was the worst I've ever had but hubs did enjoy his beer. I've been inside this building when it's been other restaurants. It looks the best I've seen it but the only things that make it feel like an Irish pub are the green lights behind the bar. The sound system is horrible. The speaker over our table kept cutting in and out, was loud and made conversation impossible. Our sweet waitress (the only positive about our experience and the only reason I gave my review more than one star) happily moved us to another table. 5 minutes later the hostess sat another party there and soon the house music was shut off completely. Our meal nor the ambience was worth $77. Pass on this one if you're looking for a...
Read moreJust had a good time at Scally's Irish Ale House, and I couldn't wait to share with ye! From the moment I stepped through the weathered oak door, I was transported to a cozy Irish pub straight out of Cape Cod.
The air crackled with laughter and lively chatter. The whole place was squeaky clean, with worn wooden booths and trinkets adorning the walls, making it feel like an ole Irish pub.
The friendly staff were the real gems of Scally's, though! They greeted me at the door and treated me like a long-lost cousin. Their recommendations were spot-on.
Now, let's talk about the grub, shall we? I dove headfirst into a bowl of their famous chowder, and let me tell you, it was a symphony of flavors in every spoonful. The creamy broth was rich with the taste of the sea, studded with potatoes, and onions. It was the kind of chowder that warms you from the inside out and leaves you wanting more and more and more.
The atmosphere was spot-on, the staff were top-notch, and the food? Well, the food was enough to make a dance a Jig.
Overall fantastic experience, A must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and...
