I recently had the pleasure of dining at Keshar, an exceptional Indian restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff, whose friendliness and professionalism set the tone for the evening. Their hospitality was truly 10 out of 10, making us feel right at home.
The food at Keshar is simply unparalleled. We started our meal with the samosas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a deliciously spiced potato mixture. Paired with a steaming cup of chai, it was the perfect beginning. The tandoori chicken wings were next, and they were an absolute delight – tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
For the main course, we indulged in the paneer kadai and chicken rogan josh, accompanied by fluffy garlic naan. The paneer kadai was rich and savory, with paneer cubes that melted in the mouth, while the chicken rogan josh was aromatic and bursting with flavors, a testament to the chef's skill. Every bite was a testament to the authenticity and quality of the ingredients used.
To top off our meal, we had kheer and rasmalai for dessert. The kheer was creamy and just the right amount of sweet, while the rasmalai was soft, delicate, and absolutely heavenly. Each dish was nothing short of perfect, showcasing the depth and variety of Indian cuisine.
Having tried many Indian restaurants in Massachusetts, I can confidently say that Keshar stands out as the best we've experienced so far. The combination of outstanding food, superb hospitality, and a warm, inviting atmosphere makes Keshar a must-visit. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, Keshar promises a dining experience that will leave you eagerly anticipating your next visit. Highly...
Read moreWe have had several meals at Keshar, and every meal has been enjoyable. At first glance, the location of the restaurant is a little puzzling since it is in the back lobby of a Best Western Hotel. However, as you enter the space, the wonderful aromas assail your nostrils and get you ready for a wonderful culinary experience.
The appetizers - especially the chats, the samosa and the pakoras - are delicious and make for a nice introduction to the chef’s creations. While we’ve not sampled the cocktails, there are some good Indian lagers available which, in my opinion, complement Indian cuisine the best. Next for the main courses, there are non-vegetarian choices are available: the option is to pick a sauce and a protein - we’ve had the lamb rogan josh, the chicken curry, lamb korma and they’ve all been excellent. The sauces taste like they were freshly made instead of a common “stock sauce”. The vegetarian options are equally delicious such as the malai kofta, palak paneer and raita. While the naans are uniformly delicious, my favorite is the aloo paratha - succulent bits of potatoes nestled in a crispy blanket of wheat bread. Mango lassis have a delightful and surprising hint of cardamom and serve to cool fevered tongues (if you choose “spicy”). For a sweet finish, you can’t wrong with either the kheer or the rasamalai! We’ve always needed a quality Indian restaurant in this part of the Cape, and now we do. Megha (restaurant manager) is attentive and a joy to deal with, and she and her partners provide for a wonderful culinary experience. Please do visit Keshar and sample their offerings - you’ll come away sated...
Read moreUpdate* Returned for a birthday dinner on 3/13. Chicken Saag, Korma, Chicken Curry, onion pakoras, onion chutney and Garlic Naan… all were absolutely delicious. Some of the finest Indian cuisine I have ever had anywhere. We are lucky to have such a quality restaurant here on the Cape. Keshar is open and firing on all cylinders. 5 stars.
The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that they just opened and were short staffed and many menu items were not available yet. I loved that they have chicken tenders and fries for the kids. ( as well as a good selection of non traditional Indian food items) So often we want to go out for Indian cuisine but are hesitant because the kids haven’t acquired a taste for anything other than naan. In terms of traditional fare we sampled the palak paneer, chicken korma, onion pakoras and papadum. All were delicious and had a good kick of spice ordered at medium. It’s not a huge space.., located inside the Best Western hotel in West Yarmouth, but it was very clean and bright. Our waiter ( one of the owners) was very friendly and apologetic about the limited menu items. Prices are moderate to high, but then again so is everywhere these days. This place is worth it though, we will absolutely be back and look forward to sampling more of their menu. Especially the...
