a solid choice for a casual dining experience, offering a wide variety of menu items that cater to different tastes. We visitedrecently and were impressed with several aspects of our meal, although there were a couple of minor hiccups.
Ambiance and Atmosphere: The restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a laid-back meal with family or friends. The decor is simple yet comfortable, with enough seating to accommodate a steady stream of customers without feeling overcrowded.
Service: The staff at Mike’s Roast Beef & Pizza are friendly and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome. Our order was taken promptly, and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. However, there was a small issue with our sandwich order, which I’ll detail below.
Food Quality: We ordered a variety of items, but the standout was undoubtedly the roast beef sandwich. The beef was perfectly cooked – tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The sandwich was generously portioned, making it a satisfying meal. However, there was one slight issue: it came with tomatoes that we did not ask for. While this wasn't a deal-breaker, it was a bit of an inconvenience as we had to remove them ourselves. It’s always best when orders come exactly as specified.
Pizza: The pizza at Mike’s is also noteworthy. The crust was just the right balance of crispy and chewy, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. We particularly enjoyed the combination of flavors and the fact that the pizza wasn’t overly greasy, which can sometimes be a problem with casual pizza places.
Value for Money: The prices at Mike’s are reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes of the food. It’s a great place to get a hearty meal without breaking the bank.
Cleanliness: The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which is always a crucial factor in choosing where to dine. The tables were wiped down promptly after customers left, and the overall hygiene standards appeared to be high.
Overall Experience: Mike’s Roast Beef & Pizza provides a solid dining experience with delicious food and friendly service. While there was a minor issue with our sandwich order, it didn’t significantly detract from our enjoyment. We left satisfied and would certainly consider returning. If they pay a bit more attention to specific order details, it could easily become a five-star experience.
In summary, if you’re looking for a place to enjoy a delicious roast beef sandwich or a well-made pizza, Mike’s Roast Beef & Pizza is definitely worth a visit. Just double-check your order to ensure everything is as...
Read moreGreat food, great prices, awesome staff, huge portions, fast service.....I could go on forever. Mike's is one of my absolute favorite places to eat. We usually get take out and eat at home, but they have a dining area which is casual, comfortable, and family friendly. They are closed on Sundays, which makes me cry sometimes. Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about Mike's. Their menu is huge, and everything is really good. No matter how busy they are, everything always runs like clockwork, and our orders are always right. Whatever system they use to manage orders is awesome too. When you call in, they usually know who you are already based on your phone number, and what you have ordered, or like to order. You can call and just say I'll take the usual, and they know what to do. The girl taking my order last time actually REMINDED me that I usually get extra pickles. They are seriously the best. I was trying to decide between tuna and chicken salad for a sub one day, and even though they were incredibly busy, the girl at the counter let me try both. Obviously they were both good, but I went with the chicken salad, which is AMAZING (no nasty scrap chicken pieces). I'm really picky with chicken, and meat in general, and I have never eaten meat from Mike's that wasn't perfect. I spit out gross, fatty, chewy pieces, and I have never had to do that with my meals from Mike's. They have an awesome drive through window around the back, where you can pick up your take out order if you don't want to go in the restaurant. They will also accommodate larger orders for parties or events if you give them enough notice. My bosses decided to order Mike's for a celebration we were having at work, and the food was just as awesome as usual, and everyone loved it. If you haven't been to Mike's and you're reading this review while trying to decide on lunch or dinner.... I'm telling you, just go to Mike's. I promise, you will not be disappointed....
Read moreMy wife and I went to Mikes for dinner as it was highly rated and right next to our motel. Ill start with the positives for this one. To start off with the pizza was some of the best pizza we ever had. We got the 10 inch pie with mushrooms, bacon, and caramelized onions. The crust was amazing and the cheese and toppings were very unique and very flavorful. Next we got the side salad with pita and their creamy Greek dressing. The pita and the dressing were incredible, I couldnt stop eating it to be honest. I got the Jr Roast Beef with cheese, bbq, mayo, and horseradish. First of all for being a Jr that sandwich was massive. The bread was ridiculously soft and fresh and the meat was generously portioned and cooked to a perfect medium rare. I honestly do not think I could have finished a sandwich that was any bigger.
Now on to the few negatives. The pizza, while delicious, was definitely not 10 inches in diameter. It was smaller than a Pizza Hut Pan Pizza so if you order, I would highly recommend getting the bigger pie because you'll wish you had more. The second thing was the salad was insanely small and for $8.00 dollars the pita and dressing were homemade and clearly not what caused the upcharge. But who goes to a pizza spot for the salad anyways. If you're in Yarmouth I would make time to hit up Mikes Roast Beef...
