Mixed feelings. The one positive is you can spend all day here if you want. It's expensive though, but you can leave the park and come back so you can leave, get something to eat, take a break etc. Total money grab once you're in the park. For example, locker rentals are $20, plus $10 deposit and cash only so if you need to use the ATM to get cash, that's another $5 service charge. Parking is $10, it used to be free. They've basically added cost to anything they could.
The biggest negative in my opinion is the complete mismanagement of the park. It's a joke! The signage is atrocious! There is nothing which explains what to do, there are 2 lines, a mile long and there is no signage explaining why you're standing in those lines, the sings they do have are unreadable because the lines of people are in front of the signs. You need to ask someone so you can figure out how to get on the slides. The lines take forever because when you get to the top of the slides, there are young adults (kids) directing people, and they have no control. When we went, 1 person was managing 3 different slides, so we see a green light meaning you can go but everyone is standing around waiting for the people running it to let you go. We waiting in lines for 1hr and 20 minutes and we were able to go down 2 slides. If there were better management of the lines this could go A LOT quicker, it was laughable on how it was managed. The Wave Rider is a cool ride but again, bad management. There is not a time limit for this ride, so you have teenagers who could stay on the board without falling off for a long time, I timed them, some lasted 5 minutes of riding time, some of the younger kids did the same, they just rode it for 5 minutes. That may not seem like a lot but when you have a line 20 kids deep and the person running the ride is letting people ride 5 minutes at a time, do the math. You could be waiting in line for an hour and only 12 people have left the line. There should be a 1 minutes time limit for all riders that way everyone has a fair chance. Some of the smaller kids, who waited in line 45 minutes, fell right off and their ride was over in seconds... give them another chance. Everyone gets a minute. Also, like any tropical vacation, people are aloud to put their towels on a chair but no one is sitting in the chairs. I saw chairs with towels where no one say in them all day long. They just held the chair in case they wanted to use it. Basically if you're not sitting their, you shouldn't be permitted to leave a towel and hold the chair all day long. No leaving towels on chairs! You're either sitting in it or your not.
I wont be going back, for what you spend and what you get to do it's not worth it. Unless they change...
Read moreI came on the 4th of july with my daughter and fiance this was our first time here. I called in advance to ask if there is a fee and any restrictions for an 11 month old at the water park. I was told there is no fee for 12 months and under and thr only restrictions were obviously those big kid rides which I wasnt going on anyway. When we arrived there was not a long wait we were told to go to booth 4. We asked for 2 adult tickets and asked does our daughter need a wristband or anything like that or is she free to walk around without one. The person at the booth said there's no fee because shes under 12 months but gave us a purple toddler wristband to wrap around either our daughters leg or stroller so in case either me or dad wanted to go on the bigger rides the workers knew she was not able to get on because it was "policy" i said ok no problem even though I was not getting on any rides because im pregnant i didnt argue about the policy. When its time to check out we are told one price and I tapped my phone so that we can enter the park and go have fun as a family. After the day is over I see the posted transaction for almost $130. So I was indeed charged a toddler ticket from the woman at the register and called thr park to ask why it was an overcharge. Gave them the time stamps, the color clothing we had on the booth number the card number and its now August and still no response or update after calling them numerous times. So just to save anyone the hassle order your tickets online and show up in person to avoid these sneaky tactics.
Overall. For a water park i have been to better water parks for the price youre paying for an adult ticket such as American dream in NJ its a humongous water park. You cant bring outside food but the food they have there to serve you is extremely expensive. 2 cheeseburgers and tenders and fries with 2 drinks came up to almost $60 which is ridiculous.
I also dont like that in every bathroom every baby changing station is directly in front of the bathroom entrance door even the mens bathroom. As I have to change a baby people see me changing her but leave the door wide open for everyone to walk pass to see her being changed on the changing station which is very WEIRD.
I probably wouldnt return especially because there wasnt much for my little one to do besides the lazy river the baby area and the wave pool other water parks have a lot more attractions for the little ones so it was limited but it was holiday and wanted to do something...
Read moreThis Water Park is absolutely amazing ! It’s my grandson favorite place and we been coming here for years. This park is good for any ages. Five new slides we came on, opened day and the lines were great ! One day the lines were just too long for us, ( for my grandson ) and there’s so many other things you can do. The line still go fast, but I would highly recommend that you wear some water shoes when the ground gets really hot. They’re lifeguards are there passing out the tubes and just let them know which ride you want to go on and they will give you the correct tube. It’s truly like being in Florida on the amazing water rides they have at their parks. I would highly suggest to get a season pass because it’s so worth it !!! The waves pool is amazing bring some eye goggles and you can borrow a life jacket for the kids for free . The water park has so many different areas that you can spread out . The lazy river is a nice place just to relax on your tube and float around . So many water activities for the family to keep busy and don’t forget the surfboard right next to the adult pool area . It’s still a wonderful family environment. Please don’t forget sometimes they are going to be lines, especially for the new popular waterslides. It’s nothing like the lines for the huge water parks in Florida that people wait for 90 minutes . If big kids or adults are cutting lines let the lifeguards know . They will handle it professionally. All the staff is amazing and they will help you . Don’t forget to bring your socks for the inflatables for the family . So many inflatables for the little kids to the bigger kids including the adults. The food is price is good and such a good portion that you truly can share with the family. It’s such a wonderful family place. You will not be disappointed trust me 😊 yesterday was not hot but it was the perfect day at the water park and the water slides lines were very short. It’s a perfect day always at wicked waves waterpark regardless of...
