This is my second review of Saga Sushi, Unfortunately I have dropped them down to a three star based on another visit I had in May. I ordered about $80 worth of sushi rolls this time splurging on the Bomb Lobster Roll. They present the rolls in a beautifully arranged large round take-out tray which I appreciate. This time the micro greens that are always sprinkled on top of all the rolls on the platter were inedible- well past their prime, soggy , dark in color and very limp. The problem in this case was that it is very tedious work removing them all from the platter. Once I did that I noticed the lettuce which is always good, it’s lightly dressed and meant to be eaten except this time that lettuce had gone off as well . At this point I took all the sushi rolls off of the platter. All the sushi rolls were excellent as usual except for the one I was most excited to try , the Bomb Lobster roll. This was such a disappointment, I wrote to the manager on Facebook message to allow them to address my complaints in private. The lobster roll is wrapped in cucumber, typically a cucumber wrap is paper thin but theirs was very thick and clumsy to eat ( very unprofessional) the roll was supposed to have crab , and tempura lobster . Since it was named Bomb Lobster and the restaurant is located on Cape Cod, I was expecting a good chunk of local lobster in that roll. This expensive roll should actually be called , Bomb fake crab meat roll because that made up 90% of it. I think if you are going to use pollack surimi instead of real crab , the menu should say that. The tempura lobster in the center of all this fake crab had such a thick amount of tempura batter, I could barely see the so called lobster, let alone taste it. Also the tempura was ice cold , I am pretty sure it was a pre-battered frozen product. So the most expensive sushi roll on the menu used the cheapest ingredients. The response from management was really lame, defending their food but offering me to bring it back and they will return it to me. I don’t know what that means exactly but I wasn’t in the mood to drive back and return half of my lobster roll especially since I did not want them to make me another one! The next time I visited the place, I just bought sushi for my son since the rolls he orders are fine. So don’t buy the Bomb Lobster and be aware of the fake crab! If you’ve read this far, please know I never ever post negative reviews unless I’ve given the management time to make things right first. It is only fair because mistakes happen and everyone deserves a...
Read moreIll start by saying the food was incredible! The hand rolls, sushi and the pineapple chicken were incredible, even the soup and the salad that came with our meal was fantastic. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food they offer and we managed to leave for under $100 even though we got plenty of food and even had some drinks which i was very pleasantly surprised about. Now the reason for the 4 stars: i understand during covid many many local restaurants were forced to add a takeout element to their menus which im well aware was not only extremely hurtful for sales but very difficult for the employees to take on so suddenly, however, most places are now offering dine-in again finally (thank goodness) and i dont think many places are transitioning back into normal practice as quickly or as easily as it may seem. It took over an hour for us to get our food after ordering, while we sat and enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation we watched take out after takeout, doordash after doordash and delivery drivers coming and going the entire time picking up their food and leaving all we the handful of people inside the restaurant dining in patiently waited for their food. The service was very tentative and we had no issues getting drinks or anything else we needed however the food taking so long is why i had to only give 4 stars instead of 5. Again, once the food did come it was incredible, the atmosphere was great, the service was on point and the prices were very reasonable. Either there needs to be a bigger focus on dine-in patrons or a separate small group of people (1 or 2 max) needs to be added to the schedule to focus on your...
Read moreFresh awesome sushi!!! We would always go to the one in Wareham as a special treat.... So when we heard that this new place was the same restaurant, we were thrilled!! Now we can get amazing sushi anytime without the long travel time!!! Here’s a more polished, professional version of your Google review update that keeps your points clear and respectful, without sounding petty:
Updated Review (August 2025): We’ve always loved the sushi from this restaurant—especially when we used to make special trips to the Wareham location. So we were really excited when this new location opened closer to home. The food has consistently been fresh and delicious, and it's been a go-to spot for us.
However, our recent experience was disappointing. On a Thursday evening, we checked Google, which listed their closing time as 9:30 PM. The sign on the door even said 10 PM. We arrived at 8:15 PM—well before either of those times—only to find no staff available to seat us. About 10 minutes later, a staff member we didn’t recognize finally appeared, but when we asked to be seated, we were told they closed at 9 PM and won't seat us.
Despite explaining that we were regulars, quick diners, and had already decided on our order, she firmly declined service and repeated, “We close at 9.” It felt dismissive and inconsistent, especially during peak tourist season. Clear, up-to-date hours and better customer communication would go a long way.
We ended up going to Bamboo in Hyannis. Which of course...
