I ducked in here at 5:30 P.M. 12/10/22 to get a tub of ice cream, but it turned out far more eventful and time consuming than I expected. As I entered I saw a female employee walk away from the groceries area register. It took me just over a minute to select a ice cream flavor once I'd picked a flavor there was still no one at the groceries register so I went to the restaurant register where there was a party of 8 ordering being rang up by a very senior employee only able to hustle so much, also still training. There was a customer in front of me who was also looking for assistance with the grocery checkout, I looked at the grocery checkout several times while waiting in the restaurant checkout, the register was lit but no one ever appeared. Finally the manager, a man with dark brown hair who was prepping orders just happened to come to the front near enough the counter that I could ask: Is that register open (grocery register), I need to pay for this right quick? Chock full of attitude he barked: What!? I repeated the question, still on one he replied in the same tude filled discourteous manner: There she is right there, I turned and could see her hat above some shelves. He knows better than his manner and to ask what was said by saying what and barking it, all completely very personal behavior. This manager seems to lack the ability to manage, he doesn't seem to make good decisions; the grocery checkers should be trained to stay on post and if you're away from the register meandering about the grocery floor you should check to see if there's anyone in the restaurant checkout that has grocery items they need to checkout. When I went to the grocery register she was definitely moping around the grocery area waiting for checkouts, she may have initially gone to the restroom. When I went to her register, she hurried to the register in a Oh! manner. Nice lady though, and good customer service. I did not expect to have a bad visit unable to checkout reasonably timely, nor be treated with lack of respect by anyone and barked at and given tude for trying to get information on the status of the grocery checkout and especially not...
Read moreMy brother chose this place as it's been quite awhile since we've been here. When we entered there was no employees in sight, we just saw a couple of people shopping in the Dairy Store side. We went to the counter and studied the menu while waiting for someone to appear. Finally, a young lady showed up and began to take our order. I don't know if there was a lot of noise in her headphones or what but I had to keep repeating our order 3 times. My mother and brother wanted cottage cheese as their side instead of french fries and she thought I said to put it ON the burgers. So I had to explain again that was their side orders. REALLY!!?? I guess 3 customers was too much for her and was about to lose my patience but instead we finally got through it and paid, then went to pick a booth to sit down. When our # was called and my brother went to pick the tray of food up and returned back to the booth..and they had forgotten the cottage cheese completely. When mom went to go get it the man wanted to see her receipt like we were the famous cottage cheese thieves! Needless to say, I wasn't impressed and all though the place looked clean, the service was horrible. It'll be quite a long before...
Read moreI no longer live near a Braums so when I travel back home, it's a must visit...much like friends and families. A couple of days ago was such a visit; the best ever burgers and chicken strips with gravy so good I refuse to compete, I wait. The Hot Chocolate Shake with malty added was so delectable I'm not sure I could do justice with words. Yum! But, the part that set this visit to my 'home' Braums was the welcoming and genuine expression of being happy to see us by the young woman at the counter. I'm getting older but I believe she said her name was Amy... I think... Anyway, remember back in the day when you felt cared about and knew your community and the warm feelings of being included in your world, well that's as closely I can describe how much her exuberance, laughter, genuine attention to each of us and even making sure to send us off with a smile, wave and "Hurry back!" meant to this group of tired travelers and how much that visit felt more like home, than home. Check it out, Braums is rock steady awesome... heck, ask for Amy! (sure hope my memory isn't failing, I try to remember but age is...
