Let me just start by saying I walked into this restaurant with a positive outlook and hoping for a relaxing night of winding down from the down.
It started when we walked in. The young (i'm assuming teenage) girl, the hostess, had a sour look on her face and it was a bit offputting but I overlooked it. Not a big deal. Maybe she had a bad day or something. We were seated and after about 5 minutes our waiter came to greet us, Dalton or Dawson, I believe was his name. He was very polite and soft spoken, which I like in a server. I asked him before I ordered my drink if I could use my gift cards to purchase alcohol. He left to ask and came back with a yes on that question. So I ordered a prickly pear margarita, which was super cute and delicious. We then ordered fried pickles for an appetizer and our entrees. We waited for that for about 10 minutes and our fried pickles came out, that is also when he also brought out the complimentary bread. The pickles were sooo greasy but they were for my husband and he didn't complain so I will not complain to much on that. My husbands drink went empty a couple of times which always happens no matter what because he inhales coke, but it took the waiter a while to even notice and then to bring out more. My salad came out and I asked what kind of local beers they had since my margarita would be out by the time the food came out. He never ever got back to me on that. When our food came out I had the wrong sized steak so they said they would rectify that by making me another one. I said okay and asked the food runner if she could bring me out a glass of water, which she did promptly. My mashed potatoes were disgusting, they were cold and the cheese wasnt even melted. On top of that, it took the waiter about 30 minutes to even come back by to acknowledge us. I finally got his attention and asked for the check and if my other steak was almost done, because at this point we had been there for close to an hour and were ready to head out. He passed us a couple times but never had the check, he finally came out with it about 10 minutes after I asked. I quickly grabbed the gift certificate cards and handed it back to him before he would run off again. After a couple minutes he came back out and said that he was wrong and because there was alcohol on the bill that he couldn't use the cards. I had a 50 dollar bill to use for what ever was left over out of the cards and he proceeded to say that the 50 would cover it though. I was baffled that he said that. Why would I use that when I have these gift cards? I said well cant you just put the drink on a separate ticket and the light bulb went off in his head. He left for about 20 minutes and came back to say that he separated the tickets but one of the gift cards (10 dollar card) was not sliding through because the card was messed up. So I said, well can't your manager fix it? He said that he would compensate by covering the 10 dollars. Now we were put at a predicament on whether to let him or not which made us highly uncomfortable since it shouldn't have ever been either of us to cover it when it was Logans card that malfunctioned but the money was still on it. The manager, Christian, came out while we were talking to the waiter about it and was not of much help at all. I said that it was unethical to allow his server to pay that when the company can surely spare the 10 dollars to cover the bill until they figured out a way to get the money off. He pretty much shrugged his shoulders and complained about how he has said something about the glitch in the system to corporate but they still haven't done anything to fix it. What I didn't tell them until then was that the gift cards were from my mother in law who got them from a manager after she had a nightmarish experience with the also, but she said for us to give it a try for her and hopefully it would go better for us. We started down the road and my husband started recounting the money that they'd given back to us and we were short 10 dollars! So we called and turned around. Luckily they...

Our waitress, HAILEY, was cheerful and remained so throughout the meal. Complimentary rolls were piping hot with cinnamon butter on the side. Our appetizer of queso and chips had the perfect amount of heat to need a drink while going back for more! I prefer my steak well done with no faint mooing in the background (no pink but not shoe leather either), the steak was cooked right the first time and was full of flavor! My baked sweet potatoe was as tasty as a piece of pie. The salad was crisp with a mixture of greens, cheese, tomatoes and bacon. The two men in my party had burgers and fries and were equally pleased as noted by no crumb left behind. Our waitress, HAILEY, continuously filled our drinks without being asked. She anticipated my needs when offering a to-go container for my sweet potatoe and roll along with a separate container for my salad. She also included a lid for the butter for my sweet potato and roll without being asked. That attention to detail clearly sets a waitress apart from her peers! HAILEY is a true gem!
The atmosphere was clean, well-lit with big screen tvs in the bar, the temperature perfect for the day outside. The constant chatter from other guests was evidence that they too enjoyed their meal. While the restaurant may have been busy, I noticed that tables were immediately bused when a party left.
Happy that I went in with an open mind and left a very...
Read moreI usually don't post reviews, but I had to with this restaurant. First, every single member of the staff seemed to have a terrible attitude. You can tell they didn't want to be there. Secondly, they were out of porterhouse. Not a big deal, got the ribeye. Medium well. Comes out, well done. The person giving us our food asks who had the well done ribeye, I let her know it was supposed to be medium well. She sets it down, tells me to cut into it anyway, maybe they undercooked it for well done (it was blackened, no way), then walks off. The waitress comes over and isn't shocked. This is probably a common occurrence based on her reaction. Takes it back to the kitchen to cook a new one. Comes out two minutes later, they are out of ribeye now. But, they "found" a porterhouse. That's not happening. Either you did have porterhouse that was being saved for the next day or other shifts and didn't want to sell it... Or you found a random, God knows how old, porterhouse in the back. I'm not going to be eating a mystery aged steak that somebody found. Not five minutes into the other person I was with was eating their steak, comes the check. They had barely started eating. We were being rushed out. What is worse, I could keep going on how bad this experience was. Slow service, tea being swapped for unsweet instead of sweet, other order was also wrong (just not as bad), and I didn't even eat. Never have I ever had such a garbage experience. I knew I should have walked out when I over heard a lady at the bar asking for a manager and being told no. Also being told they couldn't give out any info other than the restaurant's number to speak to the manager or somebody to tell about...
