McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Yukon

EDIT: 2/19/24 I’ve update my review for a couple reasons. 1st is that the GM Christopher called me shortly after I posted my initial review and was very apologetic. He asked me questions about the issues we had. He offered to buy our next meal the next time we came in. I appreciate that he acknowledged the order was not well put together and tried to find a remedy since we weren’t able to return same day. This time our order was perfectly fine and the food was really good. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will say it was also a very slow night since it’s a little later on a Monday. So food came out quick. I would still suggest if you order mobile or to go that you just double check everything before you leave. Our only issues have come from to go orders and not in store.

I usually love McAlister’s but the Yukon location has really been struggling for a minute. Seems like every time we order especially to go, something is messed up. One time neither my husband or my salad had dressings. This time my McAllister club is missing the lettuce and is cut really awkwardly to where once slice is all crust. 1st time in and decided to do Choose 2 Chicken Tortilla soup and Alvocado BLT both were really good and refreshing. The other dish is Spud Max and Veggie Chili. Everything was so fresh to include my lemons for my water (included the picture). The staff was very friendly. The young lady that was working the register around 9pm on 6/28 was even considerate enough to come tell us which was the safest route to the door because she had just mopped. This was appreciated as a disabled veteran with week balance right now. As I ordered my food I observed the GM talking to guest in the lobby and as I went to the bathroom observed him talking to guest that had a pick-up order. Both times he was very pleasant. As we got our meals he proceeded to our table and asked about the food. He carried a nice conversation with us and offered suggestions for our next visit. The restaurant was clean and being cleaned. Seen and heard the pride he takes at this location. I like that he talked to his staff respectfully and was overall a very nice guy. This first-time customer will return, you have my business! My family visited Mccalisters in 11/24/2019 for take- out. After getting home we realized my sons food and my food was incorrect. I then called the restaurant to speak to the manager who apologized and offered 2 coupons to be sent via mail or to remake the items for us to come pick up- we opted to receive the coupons via mail. Here we are a little over 2 weeks later with no coupons. This place is less than 10 minutes from our house, so there is no excuse for this. Horrible experience when McAllisters was previously my favorite place to dine.

*I also called today to follow-up and there was no answer very well into business hours.

*Called again and spoke with Jennifer. Apparently they were sent today and I should receive them soon.

After receiving a reply to my review, I reached out via email and an apology and meal cards were sent to me. Mikayla was ultra nice and apologize for the frustration and inconvenience.
