Tucked away in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Caffeinerush Coffee Shop is a gem for coffee lovers seeking bold Vietnamese brews with a twist. While Hanoi’s coffee scene is full of charm, Caffeinerush stands out for its balance of tradition and innovation.
I ordered two signatures: the Vietnamese coffee (cà phê sữa đá) and the increasingly popular salted coffee (cà phê muối). The Vietnamese coffee was strong, dark, and rich—classic robusta brewed through a phin filter over a generous layer of condensed milk. It came out perfectly balanced: sweet, creamy, and full of that deep, nutty bitterness that defines great Vietnamese brews.
But the salted coffee was the real surprise. Inspired by the trend from Huế, this drink blends espresso with a lightly salted cream foam. The result is a sweet-salty contrast that enhances the coffee’s depth while softening the bitterness. It’s smooth, indulgent, and strangely addictive—like salted caramel in coffee form.
The space itself is modern but warm, with cozy seating and fast Wi-Fi, making it ideal for both lingering and laptop work. Prices are reasonable, with drinks averaging between 35,000–50,000 VND.
If you're exploring Hanoi and want to try both a traditional and experimental take on Vietnamese coffee, Caffeinerush Coffee Shop is well worth a stop. Whether you're a local or a traveler, this spot captures Hanoi’s evolving coffee culture...
Read moreTalkin' about rad coffee shops, folks! caffeinerush is like a whole new sensation. At a glance, their decor is lowkey like in a magazine – super trendy with comfy seats everywhere. First thing you gotta do is snap a pic for the 'gram, obvi.
But I know I know, it's not just about the looks. The staff are super friendly and helpful, even if you're just a latte newbie like myself. They can defo guide you through their awesome coffee selection. Their matcha is like, vibrant green and smooth as silk – you know they use good stuff. And for the adventurous ones, there's this mango-espresso that's too good to be true!! It's like a tropical twist on your regular coffee.
Okay, but the real superstar of the show? The pastries. Imagine a warm, flaky croissant and/or burnt piece of cheesecake straight outta the oven. Every bite is a flavor explosion – crispy, soft, creamy – it's crayyyyyy!!
The only downside, perhaps, is that caffeinerush gets kinda packed sometimes. Rumor has it... everyone knows it's good! But no worries, coffee connoisseurs! Even if there's a bit of a wait, you gotta take my words on this, it's worth it. This place will leave you buzzing with good vibes and delishness for hours. Highly...
Read moreThe cheesecake is actually phenomenal. Service was a one star as I and a friend were the only two people downstairs in the first and we were asked to be quiet after speaking at our regular tone of voice. Between the construction going on outside on the crowded street, patrons up on the second floor talking and us minding our business, we were the only ones told about a phantom policy of there being a quiet policy. I have lived in Vietnam for five years and have never been told to be quiet in a cafe (unless it was a distinct study cafe with a library in it.) TL:DR cheesecake was...
