Lovely sidewalk bakery in Hanoi Old Quarter. My family and I were headed out to exchange currency but were tempted by the delicious bakery aroma and the extremely presentable croissants behind the glass display. I absolutely love the Peach Danish, while my sister’s favorite is the Banana Caramel Danish. My mom prefers their Ham & Cheese Croissant while my father likes the Strawberry Cheesecake Croissant. We got ourselves every one of each of course and ate right next to the shop where they had cute little stools for people like us who couldn’t wait to devour them… We ended up eating everything we got and took another order for take away! After having eaten a few disappointing croissants in SE Asia, I have to come back and say that the pastries this store sells are PRETTY DAMN GOOD! 🙏🏼

We paid 180k VND for 3 croissants and a danish back in October 2023, the croissants had a nice height to them and were beautifully flaky, even buttery.

We sat down on the small chairs in front of the store and ate all 4 pastries in one go 😅 I don’t think it’s possible to sit inside, there is just a small order & take-away window where people keep queuing up.

My two notes: I personally thought the cheese and ham tasted too cheap, like a regular store-bought toast cheese and ham (in Europe). Matcha filling was a bit too bitter, I think it could be more balanced. I think there are at least 2 more reviews which have mentioned this, so I can’t be the only one...
