⚠️I chose this hotel simply because I needed a place to sleep. I'm out all day, am volunteering in the mornings and working online in the evening (i work in GMT+2 timing), so i expect to return very late.
Previous experiences in Vietnam had me paying extra to charges for rooms, so this time I booked a premium room at Bel Ami through Agoda just to avoid any occurrences.
The receptionist was unfriendly, but I chose to assume it was because of the language barrier. She showed me “My room” without window and i insisted i booked one with a window, then with a proper English she offered the next door room for an extra fee in CASH. As I was busy, I decided to deal with it later hopefully speaking to someone else.
When I returned at midnight, the hotel was locked up and the reception lights were off (see the video). I did an entire round maybe there was other entrances to this hotel cause closing doors was LUNATIC! No other doors 🚩
I tried shouting "Hello" and shaking the door for 20 minutes, but there was no response. The only way to contact the hotel was by phone, and I didn't have a local SIM card.
I found a local woman in a restaurant nearby and asked her if she can kindly call the hotel for me, she generously did ♥️
The receptionist angrily opened the door. When I asked why they had locked the door, he claimed it was a police order!!! He then blamed me for not making enough noise to wake him up! As if i knew he was there and sleeping 🥵🥵🥵
I'm unsure who is at fault: the receptionist for not leaving contact information on the door if he decided to sleep, the management for locking the hotel at midnight without informing the guests or even the police as claimed…. Regardless, I could have been stranded if not for the kindness of the stranger.
I've never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world. Please avoid this hotel and save yourself...

Ngày hôm sau do có việc bận nên 19h mình tới nhận phòng và nhận được thông tin từ lễ tân rằng phòng mình chưa sẵn sàng và yêu cầu mình ngồi chờ 1 chút. Lí do khách sạn đua ra là khách check out muộn nên mình không có phòng. Mình không chấp nhận lí do này vì cho dù khách có check out muộn nhưng mình cũng đến checkin ở khách sạn tận 5 tiếng sau, như vậy là quá đủ thời gian để dọn phòng và các thủ tục khác. Nếu như mình đến đúng 14h chiều thì mình sẽ phải đợi 5 tiếng sau mới có phòng hay sao ?
Thái độ xử lý của lễ tân rất kém. Khi được hỏi về phòng lễ tân yêu cầu mình “đi ra ngoài ăn đi rồi tí về là có phòng”, “anh chờ thêm khoảng 45’ nữa là có phòng ngay mà”, khi mình không đồng ý chờ đợi lễ tân nói với mình “nếu anh không thích thì anh huỷ phòng giúp em” khiến mình phải yêu cầu gọi cho chủ khách sạn để xử lý thì mới có phòng
Khách sạn ở vị trí tiện nghi, phòng ốc đơn giản như 1 nhà nghỉ bình dân thôi, nội thất bình thường không có gì đặc biệt. Mọi người có thể cân nhắc đặt phòng ở đây nhưng hãy cẩn thận vì có thể rơi vào tình trạng như mình và khách sạn không hề thân thiện xử lý và hỗ trợ đâu.

I booked a room at the hotel through the agoda app, to be more careful I called the receptionist and was confirmed that I could check in the next day from 2pm.
The next day due to some work, I went to check in at 7pm and received information from the receptionist that my room was not ready and asked me to wait a bit. The reason the hotel gave was that the guest checked out late so I did not have a room. I did not accept this reason because even if the guest checked out late, I still checked in at the hotel 5 hours later, which was more than enough time to clean the room and do other procedures. If I had arrived exactly at 2pm, would I have had to wait 5 hours for a room?
The receptionist's attitude was very poor. When asked about the room, the receptionist asked me to "go out to eat and then come back and you will have a room", "you can wait for another 45 minutes and you will have a room right away", when I did not agree to wait, the receptionist told me "if you do not like it, please cancel the room for me" so I had to ask to call the hotel owner to handle it before I could have a room
The hotel is in a convenient location, the rooms are simple like a budget motel, the interior is normal, nothing special. Everyone can consider booking a room here but be careful because you may fall into the same situation as me and the hotel is not friendly in handling...

The photos looked nothing like the room we had booked. We had no proper window and the bathroom/toilet was so tiny and the aircon had a loud buzzing noise the whole night. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again! They also had a ladder outside our window which was creepy and very old wooden blinds which took me ages to lower it because I was paranoid someone would walk up the ladder.
