Newly opened. High price compared to other places even between the croissant uptrend hype in Hanoi these days. For the base, that is pastry, fusion is how they create the fillings. Tried a couple things on the list, average quality, I might expect more when I pay for this price tag. Crispy and buttery but not really perfectly proofed. Somehow the crisp was a little bit burnt that made the smoky taste for butter croissant, that kinda taste can be okay for the garlic butter croissant but not for the classic plain croissant. Their gelato is smooth and thick but a little bit milky and not so fresh, melted quickly. Coffee is bitter, bad for my period taste, I prefer the sour and lighter version for latte.
Staffs are nice. Store has a clean design with limited seatings, not so comfy to seat for long, the place itself is more of a takeaway place.
I feel like I pay for the packaging, the outlet, the service more than for the product quality. Expect more from them while they introduce themselves as fusion bakery and a loud...
Read moreCINNAMON ROLL 45VND :) Hello, this bakery has an open concept with a highly attentive staff. I used to frequent Ryan’s Patisserie but now here we have Hakyō Fushion Bakery with Viet Nguyễn as the face of the store. I must say, the croissants don’t look as good as Ryan’s so I am hesitant to try. But they offer a seasonal cinnamon roll which interested me as it is a rare sight in Hanoi. They appreciate cash but card and transfer are also accepted. The staff are VERY talkative and can speak Vietnamese or English fluently to assist with any questions or suggestions needed. They have some Korean coffee options, also rare. Therefore, I will return to try more and offer feedback. The interior is cozy and if one of the three seating areas are available, you can sit there with a friend. If you have a big group, you’re better off sitting with them outside. I took my cinnamon roll slightly warm and to-go. “Westerners” will like it,...
Read moreCroissants are fantastic, egg coffe is average (lot of coffee and a tiny layer of egg foam). We got in for a croissant, the bartender lady said promotion going, if we bought 3x croissants we would have got one free - so we chose 4 Croissants and ordered 2 coffees. While doing the payment, I noticed she added a 5th crossiant and didn’t add one of the coffees, so I pointed it out after paying that one coffee was missing but one croissant was added wrongly. I proposed to let it be as I actually paid a little more than what owed but she said the promotion is 3x croissants and one mini pistachio one on the house, and requested me to pay the additional coffee I missed in the previous bill. I did not appreciate the inflexibility combined with the lack of transparency with the promotion. She filled our water bottle in the end though!...
