Highly disappointed at the food and service here. Formerly Japa’s, now named Miss Q’s. It had been a while since I had last come here, but everytime I visit Hanoi I make a point to stop by here. I ordered an avocado smoothie, they had blended it with the avocado pit (a first for everything). Mistakes happen so I let that go, but my table had also ordered waters, those of which never came. The food was sub-par (we ordered pizzas) considering the price, I wouldn’t recommend. The atmosphere was not great considering the brightness of the lights were flickering from dim to bright and dim again (this could’ve triggered an epilepsy episode for one of the persons at my table). Finally, no one checked on our table (of 7) after we received our food - it was difficult to grab the attention of the waiters too (to see if our waters were on the way - they never came). Finally, they advertised a buy one get one for pizzas but when asked, they shared that it was not something they did anymore - they also advertised a cocktail menu but when asked they shared that they in fact do not have one. Overall, as a former regular here, I am highly disappointed at the quality of food...
Read moreThe wife and I thought we would try a restaurant that serves "western foods" while in Hanoi, VN, so we went to try Jaspas. I had the quesadillas for an appetizer, and the New Zealand rib eye (medium) with mashed potatoes. My wife had a salad for a starter and the USA steak with fries. We both opted for the mango & banana smoothie for a drink. Very clean establishment, both non-smoking and smoking section (bar), most staff speaks fluent English and all are very polite. The food was amazing, the quesadillas tasted like even the sour cream was fresh made in house. They also brought around "house food", small bits of different recipes for tasting. Total bill for us was just under 1,700,000 VND ($72.00 USD). I'm a big guy, and I'm stuffed! Would...
Read moreHad the buffet dinner just now. I picked what I wanted to eat from thr menu and they served it to my tablle. The menu had a wide choice of food....eat all you want. I had soup, salad, fresh oysters, prawns and a huge sliced steak served on sizling plate all fresh and tasted pretty good. At VND 317,000 including VAT, its truly value for money. As always the staff were friendly and service was fast despite there being a large group holding a function. The noise level was a bit loud as it was held just next to the bar where I was having dinner. Highly recommended if you want a satisfying dinner at a very...
