Mình ơiii! — Restaurant in Hà Nội

This place was chosen by my daughter while we were in Hanoi after reading All these fantastic reviews. With so many places to eat and chose in Hanoi serving the same or similar dishes, this family business deserve a mention as the food they serve is far more superior especially the spring rolls (ordered more after finishing the first 3 rolls). The brilliant chef is the wife, front of house is her husband who is very tentative and polite. Their son also helps out at front of house when he is free. Both my daughter and I liked it so much, we came back a few nights after for a second time and the chef recognise us and said Hello to us. We were staying on the other side of Hanoi on the out skirt of the Old Quarters but happy enough to jump into a taxi across the city to eat there. Their place does not do them any justice as they are located in the middle of a cobbled street getting plenty of traffic from tourists wanting to eat there. Most tourists would want to seat at the front their place(photo) but due to the size, there are Not enough tables and stools to do so. They all look around and talk among themselves and wondered off. I have never wrote a review on a resturant, but with my experience I had I have too. Firstly we were 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Secondly my partner ordered a mojito which was completely undrinkable & flat. When I said it to the waiter nothing was done. Lastly waiting for my meal , the waiter accidentally dropped my curry all over my brand new bag, shoes which are not destroyed. It wasn’t his fault & he was helpful however when I went down to pay there was nothing done. I said it to the host & not even a discount or anything. Also the food was bang average. What a great little gem this is!

Theres only 3 tables but we were lucky enough to sit down without a wait. As a vegetarian I was excited to try this place as it had options for me but also meat options for my other half - and the prices were excellent!

There is one lady cooking all the orders fresh and she works so hard and still managed to take her eyes away to thank us with a smile as we left.

The food was delicious and filling, and for 2 meals and 2 drinks (plus some fries) it only came to 250K (£6.50) which is a bargain.
