A quite lovely evening in Hanoi ruined by poor end of night experience. Make sure to read the front page of menu to notice 3% surcharge.
The service is quite poor, staff came dropped the menu, no acknowledgement of our existence, no greeting. I asked about switching on the AirCon and he simply pointed to the fan.
The food is okay, I don't expect great Mexican food in Hanoi, but it did have good flavour. And it looked like the pictures on the menu so plus points for that.
At payment he simply charged 3% extra, which is a bit of a shock. Though its mentioned in a tiny font in front of the menu, it is not what other Hanoi eateries do. So you don't expect to be reading the "front of a menu", you flip to the pages that contain food pictures.
Overall, go there if you have good food fatigue from eating in Hanoi. Hope you have a better evening...

During our visit to Hanoi, we found ourselves returning to Take Tacos multiple times—it became our favorite spot! Conveniently located near the lake and the puppet theatre, this cozy little place offers a delightful mix of Vietnamese and Mexican cuisine that truly impressed us.
The Bánh mì was a standout, deliciously stuffed with generous amounts of meat. The Bún chả was equally exceptional, with meatballs that were simply to die for. To top it off, the Mango and Avocado juices, garnished with surprising roasted coconut slices, were the perfect refreshing treat. If you're in Hanoi, don't miss out on Take Tacos—it’s a...

It is a casual dining place. It had enough vegetarian options on the menu. We had to wait for 15-20 minutes to get our order but it was worth the wait. The taco was delicious. The mix of beans, corn, avocado, and sour cream tasted really good. I really wanted to try more things on the menu but didn't have the time on this trip.
If you are looking for a change from vietnamese cuisine and some good mexican food, Take Taco could satiate...
