If you are craving noodles or dim sum while in Hanoi, this is the place to go! In the 3 days spent in Hanoi, this was a dinner choice two nights in a row. The location itself is very convenient and the staff are extremely kind and attentive, whether the waiters or the chefs. Their tamarind tea is absolutely delicious and very refreshing, and I personally think it does a great job of complementing the food you’re eating. The atmosphere here is also very welcoming, lots of seating with a variety of different options and fans above most tables or simply aimed at them. We had an amazing experience at Tiệm Mỳ Tiên Sơn in Hanoi Old Quarter! The food was absolutely delicious – we ordered the beef noodles and the prawn spring rolls, both were so tasty, fresh, and perfectly balanced in flavor.

What made our visit even more special was the outstanding service from Huy, one of the best attendants we’ve ever met. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and full of positive energy. He checked on us regularly, personally asked how our food was, and made sure we had everything we needed. His passion for customer service truly elevated our dining experience.

Had the beef brisket noodles, mushroom and prawn dimsum, mixed noodles with duck’s breast and tea. Very solid flavors approved for the desi pallet. You get a delicious broth with actual flavor, a perfectly salted half egg, good wheat noodles and pickle that tastes like pickle, not the sweet mess served locally. The beef shank has the perfect amount of fat and flavor. The duck was cooked just right, came with a garlicky fish sauce, bok choy and wheat noodles. The dimsum filling was nice. Instead of trying to find the very rare spots which might serve half decent local cuisine around the old quarter, I wholeheartedly recommend eating at this place instead.
