The Green Mango is one of those restaurant-bars that get everything right. Though visited just before noon, I could well imagine what the scene must be like in the evening. There's a neon-lit bar island with bar stools in this heritage building, where the overall themes are "antique" and "heritage". Located on two floors, the upper floor is supported by the original glossy black teak pillars. The dark antique stairs, heavy wooden doors and windows, tables, benches and chairs, and lemon yellow walls, give this place an enviable ambience. I can well imagine patrons returning again and again. The curated music playlist has pieces from around the world - I heard snatches of Indian and Arabic music. Still, service was great and understanding that they waived off the order only charged us for the drinks we took. I'm sure this place has much more to offer as the reviews are great, but I just wished that the reviews were more clear on what to order. Restaurant might be great for drinks, but food wise, not suitable for a full asian like myself if we are looking...
Read moreFirstly, we took a joint Cooking Class with our G-Adventures Tour Group. The experience was fabulous and we learned so much about Vietnamese cooking that I think it will last a lifetime. Multiple recipes and dishes with clear easy to understand instructions and guidance. The Chef was just great and clearly has a lifetime of experience with high quality cuisine preparation. The restaurant was equally as enjoyable for both our own food preparation and later enjoyment beyond the class. Service was just great. The place is also an excellent stop for drinks and cocktails and aptly describes itself on the sign out front showing it as a husband dare-care center (where the men can have a respite while the women shop the fantastic clothing stores on...
