Bach Dang Ice Cream — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

1st, the staff was rude to us, coming towards us and asking us at once to stand up and give the seat and table to other customers while we were also their customer, just waiting for the order to arrive. 2nd, the staff gave us wrong order. We ordered strawberry shake 95,000vnd but received strawberry ice cream at a more expensive price, only 1 scoop for 120,000vnd. It was not worthy at all for the price and bad service that we received. 3rd, still staffs here are rude to customer. I was trying to scan the QR code to send payment online, but the staff did not care and quickly took away the QR code board without asking or saying anything at all. Just took it away and went away. In the end, we ordered 2 coconut ice creams and 1 strawberry shake but received a strawberry ice cream instead. Total bill was 430,000vnd, such an exensive ice cream that tasted just like street ice cream only. Not worthy at all, especially with such staffs ' bad attitude. We ordered here while waiting for the rain to stop. While we were sitting and waiting for our food to arrive, a male staff member approached us looking very angry. According to my wife, he was saying something in Vietnamese, angrily, telling us that we should give up our seats to other customers if we weren’t going to order.

It was a very unpleasant experience. The staff member immediately assumed we weren’t customers instead of simply asking, which was extremely impolite and disrespectful. There was no courtesy or basic manners at all. Sadly, many, though not all, restaurants here in Vietnam tend to act this way, regardless of whether they are fine dining establishments or not.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! This was the worst ice cream place I’ve been to. The ice cream was tasteless and powdery like and the staff were rude. Before leaving we asked for wipes to clean our hands and face. We had spent $40 AUD on ice-cream, so expected that they would be included in the exorbitant price. All the other local customers in the shop had wipes in packets on their tables and we didn’t. I asked for the wipes, and was handed hand sanitiser instead. I pointed to the wipes and was told ‘they’re not free, you have to pay 3 thousand dong each packet’. We were confused because everyone had them on their tables. We were the only ones without.
