I rarely, very very rarely would give a 5 star rating to any of the places visited – anywhere as pickiness is my middle name. Neither would I endorse place for services rendered, so this judgement is purely based on 3 truthful assessments done over a few weeks. I gave Paul Taiwan, Neihu branch a 2 star review, so why does this Paul sits in my Saigon Prefered places list?
First, the service is at a near perfection level for International standards. The attention to detail is remarkable as never witnessed in Vietnam, which is unique. Near perfection to perfection is ironing out the small details of plate provision. If the staff could ask how to serve the plates – in which order – I could call it perfect.
Second, the overall quality, presentation and taste of +15 dishes we tried over those 3 visits. The details make the perfection. Every single component is of a highest standard, like the ripeness of avocado’s used, the different flavors of oil, not 1 single brown piece of green salad and so on.
While people might find it expensive, I would disagree as the price / service is what you pay for, and the rent in this mall must be monstreaous.
Hence, if you crave for a fully International quality experience, I certainly would recommend this place as I was simply impressed – 3 times on a row.
As for the bakery itself, I won’t take this in consideration as it should be compared with other venues, which is not part of this review.
Keep it up Paul Vietnam team, do grow in the ranking! You got...

2025: I don't think they have any idea how important loyal customers really are. We were back again for an evening coffee during Tet holidays, and we were absolutely be treated like trash. Wrong order, very slow services, missing orders, no idea what they are doing... but most importantly, a male waiter with a very aggressive altitude, unintentionally or intentional, despised us, denied basic requests and very unhappyto serve us. May be we dress poorly, but hey, people have money to afford Paul as their basic coffee routine, mostly are not regular customers. May be it is Tet season and you guy have to find someone to fulfil the job, but at least find someone with great altitude. Date was 01/02/25. Please check again on the staff as we pissed off and cancelled those last orders and leaved as soon as we can. Just for information, we not sit there for free, we were ordered 3 cakes, tea set, coffees and others, mostly your staffs forgot them all. We waited so long and treated with arrogance and ignorance.
Bad experience, may not come back, and sure, not recommend. One star. Foods were good, but our family got angry...
Read moreCould not understand how a restaurant located in city center with such a grand view of one of best streets of the city could afford to hire staff speaking to people with terrible manner. The staffs of this restaurant really have some basic manner problems when serving clients, from talking to clients, taking orders and distributing dishes. They really need a complete re-training of everything. We are a family of 14 people coming in and get food served sporadically over the course of 1.5 hours with drinks are not served to each person. The waitress simply said, i put it all here in the middle of the table and you guys pick up your own drink. At the end, when collecting the used dishes, the folks fell on my hand and spilled food on my watch. This is one of the most terrible servicing restaurant i ever encounter, which is worse than some of the street food staffs in the country. That is really a regrettable experience. I believe this restaurant, should it continue to service in this particular setting, it shall be shut down soon. The staff talk with no proper wordings to the senior clients....
