[WORSE EXPERIENCE WITH 4P’s STAFF IN DISTRICT 3]
Me and my family has been regular customers of 4p’s for years. In Nha Trang, Hanoi, HCM (not so much). 4p’s is the first thing that comes to mind for even a quick bite or family gatherings. Never once we’ve had a bad experience with 4p’s. Always great service and good food.
Except on Thursday 13th Feb in HCM, restaurant located in District 3.
About a week ago we’ve had our meal here on this location. We have ate before but looking for snacks before my flight. The bill wasn’t much, over 1mil in total, we ordered light soup, salad, a pizza with a bottle of wine and a few glasses aside. Looking to end the evening with a good impression about Saigon.
The experience and the whole night was completely ruined by the rudeness and disrespectful tone of one male employee.
We’ve have had our experience in Nha Trang and Hanoi, if the restaurant is in high traffic hours, we have no problem when staff pre-mentioned about time limits. In some franchises if they don’t warn us before setting us a table, then we never have problems with them asked us to leave before at least finish our bottle.
They either communicated in advance or professionally let client have their table without rushing.
We stayed after finishing our main courses , planned to finish our bottle and order more a bit later after feeling less stuffed. There’s this overall kind employees which i given the money for my sister’s boyfriend to tip him. I know 4p’s have a no-tip policy since it was already included in the bill, so we have to be discreet. But to us, it was never hurt to reward someone doing good at their job.
Yet it was a good thing we never had the chance because this same person later on took a twist on the whole situation. He approached our table and “kindly & firmly” in his “professional wording” - asked us to leave.
“Would you like so order more, if not i can wraps this bottle for you to go.” - he was passive aggressive. His energy was disrespectful and demeanor, worse he chose to does it publicly.
The message could have been so easy to deliver in a courtesy that does not embarrassed client and himself like: “Hi sorry, our restaurant is in high-traffic hour, could you this and that, alternative this and that… thank you for your understanding…” or a pre-warning right before we crossed that door.
Hey, honestly we didn’t know customers are now being timed to dine at your restaurant:) and we would have understood if it was communicated first hand. But yet, why the tone and your way of approaching the situation.
My experience in Nha Trang and Hanoi remained very very very very pleasant. I feel welcomed, my family feel well-taken care of and the staffs in Dist 3 location could have pick up something from their colleagues in different franchises.
I still love 4P’s and don’t have any colored opinions about the brand. But maybe never again in...
Read moreHad to try this famous Neapolitan-style Italian-Japanese fusion wood-fired pizza chain on my recent visit to hcmc after hearing lots of positive reviews and recommendations to try this spot.
Waiting time can be quite long, so I made prior reservations, opting for outdoor seating to soak in the vibes (which was incredible btw) There’s a smoking corner outside, so if you’re not comfortable, consider their indoor seating instead.
Attention to detail is on point. Wet tissues in a box, hand sanitiser in a spray bottle, refillable water, detail-oriented, proactive, bilingual staff, & exquisite aesthetics.
I opted for their half & half pizza, to try more variety. This came thin crusted, and I opted for their 5 cheese (149,000 VND) — this was made with 5 house-made cheese: mozzarella, parmesan, camembert, blue cheese & raclette. Was recommended to try it with their natural honey, & we loved the sweet-savoury combo even though we usually prefer to enjoy the full-flavours of cheese.
The other half of the pizza was their burrata parma ham (155,000 VND). Burrata was mild, with a delicate creamy texture, & a melt-in-your-mouth feel. Paired with fresh veggies, it felt like a refreshing alternative that paired well with the more indulgent 5 Cheese half.
Had to end our meal with a dessert, and we opted for their fondant chocolate cake with house-made vanilla ice-cream (88,000 VND). This was a classic dessert done right. Vanilla ice cream was good, but the WARM, lightly sweetened, rich, decadent, gooey lava chocolate cake left a lasting impression on us.
We also had their whey stout (85,000 VND) & yuzu wheat (98,000 VND), which were both beer drinks, but I preferred the latter for the refreshing yuzu aftertaste.
tldr, was WOW-ed by this place from start to finish, but do make reservations. Will be back for their pizzas & to try their pastas !!
Special thanks to our server Minh Thu for delivering such a memorable...
Read moreI came as 1 person on a Sunday (20 Jul 2025) at 8pm. I didn't make a reservation so I waited for about 20-25 minutes. I thought it was alright considering that it was the weekend, there was fruit water served, and just watching the staff so diligently managing the customers made the wait worth it. I came in shorts so had a few mosquito stings but it didn't bother me much. When I got to my table, it was outdoor, sheltered (not that it rained though it did earlier in the afternoon), and it was pleasant in terms of the lighting, space, layout, privacy, and ergonomics. I order a pizza for myself comprising half the burrata parma ham with rocket salad, half the 4 mushrooms, cost me about 275000 (which I thought was affordable considering my experience and the quality of food which was superb). It seemed like full house last evening but my pizza came quite fast (about 15 mins wait). When I tucked into it, it was by far one of my favourite pizzas I've ever had in my 40 years of existence. The crust was delicious not too thick and not thin that it isn't substantial. I didn't order any drink as I was intending to get a coffee elsewhere after dinner, but that pizza alone was memorable. I will consider going back again in the next few days during my trip here in HCMC. I do want to give a shout out to Ms Anh Thu'. She has short hair for a girl. Her service was impeccable. She was polite, efficient, friendly, smiley, articulate in explaining things. If you're the management watching this, please let her know that I've written this review and I hope she gets the recognition. Amazing place and experience. I'm sure to be back whenever I'm...
