It’s free, friendly service, informative, small, clean, cosy. No visitors parking though, you will need to find parking on nearby streets. If you have special needs, try contacting them prior visiting, they might be able to help with parking. There are no toilets within the museum, only public toilets outside the museum, a few minutes walk. Be aware, no hand soaps available, no toilet seats, there was someone living in one of the toilet when we were there. Honestly, not a very pleasant toilets.

As the oldest surviving public building in WA, built in 1836, the Old Court House is more than just a museum; it’s a portal to the past, bringing to life the stories of justice and governance during the early days of the Swan River Colony. Walking into the Old Court House feels like stepping back in time. Its simple colonial architecture, wooden furnishings, and small courtroom create an atmosphere that echoes a bygone era. The museum showcases the evolution of the legal system in WA.

We had a wonderful visit to Perth's oldest building, which was originally the courthouse. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. The displays were informative, offering a fascinating look into the building's rich history. The architecture itself is stunning, and it was a real treat to explore such a significant piece of Perth's past. Highly recommend for anyone interested in history or beautiful heritage buildings!
