The German Order with the official title "Brothers of the German House of St. Mary in Jerusalem" is a religious order. His chief bearers are accordingly priests with solemn profession; Their fellowship includes lay brothers with simple eternal vows. The Order has been incorporated into the Order of the Teutonic Order. They are independent in their provinces; but have seat and votes in the General Chapter. Your Superior General is the Grand Master .

The institute of familiars, which generally consists of lay people, is spiritually affiliated to the Order; however, his members do not take any religious vows.

The brothers and sisters are spread across five provinces: Austria, South Tyrol-Italy, Slovenia, Germany and the Czech Republic / Slovakia. The familiars are divided into the Balleien Germany, Austria, South Tyrol, "Ad Tiberim" in Rome and the Ballei Tschechien / Slowakei as well as into the independent Komturei "Alden Biesen" in Belgium; In addition, there are still familiars scattered in...

It's a tiny museum but it holds some interesting ornamental pieces and has cool stories to tell. You get a printed guide with description of each room (available in German and English).

Entry is included in the All-In ticket to the St. Stephan Cathedral. So, if you bought that ticket, give this...

Very, very cool treasury. Worth visiting. Our Viennese host recommended this instead of the Schatzkammer, and I think she's right. This treasury is included in the Stephansdom all-inclusive ticket as the Treasury of the Teutonic Order.

Skarbiec Zakonu Szpitala Najświętszej Marii Panny Domu Niemieckiego w Jerozolimie to niewielkie muzeum z ciekawymi eksponatami.
