Our visit to Romeo Land Restaurant on Nizami Street, Baku, was nothing short of exceptional. Being from India, we were craving flavors that reminded us of home, and this restaurant delivered beyond our expectations.

We were introduced to this gem of a restaurant by Nasir Bhai from Afghanistan, and we couldn’t be more grateful for his recommendation. Chef Waseem Bhai truly made our experience unforgettable. On our first visit, he prepared a delicious boneless chicken dish for us. The next day, he personally recommended that we try chicken with bones, promising an even richer flavor. What made this gesture even more special was that we arrived a bit early during the day, and he especially came in just for us, taking 30 minutes to prepare the dish. His passion for cooking and commitment to delivering an outstanding meal was truly touching.

On our last day in Baku, we returned to try the Nihari, which Chef Waseem Bhai had suggested. He not only prepared it to perfection but also guided us on different ways to enjoy it. We tried it with tandoori roti, khameeri roti, and rice, and it was, without a doubt, one of the best Niharis we’ve ever had in the world.

We were also accompanied by a friend who is vegetarian, and Waseem Bhai made sure to cater to him as well. He served an incredible veg biryani, raita, Lahori chole, and daal, all of which were equally flavorful and satisfying.

We must also extend our deepest appreciation to Nargis, who was our server throughout our visits. Her politeness and attentive nature stood out, making us feel truly welcomed and cared for. Nargis has a natural warmth and charm, and her delightful Pakistani accent added an extra touch of authenticity to our experience. She was always ready with a smile, ensuring our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

A Great Culinary Experience at Romeo Land Restaurant – Nizami Street, Baku

During our visit to Nizami Street, we discovered Romeo Land Restaurant, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we've had in Baku. We ordered chicken biryani, and to our delight, it was absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked, richly infused with traditional spices, and the chicken was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. As someone who has had biryani from many places, including Pakistan, I must say this is one of the most authentic and tasty biryanis I’ve had outside of Pakistan.

What truly made the meal special was the balance of flavor — not too spicy, yet rich in aroma and depth, just the way good biryani should be. It brought back memories of home-cooked food and left us wanting more.

We also ordered tea, which was served hot and fresh — a perfect ending to a satisfying meal. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy, clean, and welcoming, and the staff were courteous and attentive throughout our visit. Service was smooth and timely, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.
