It is a cosy Indo-Pak restaurant that can seat roughly 25-30 people. There are tons of vegetarian options available along with the non veg classics. They play mellow desi songs and the overall restaurant vibe is pretty relaxing. Nice place to have tea, chaach, lassi, and of course desi food. Food takes time because they make everything fresh, especially breads will take time and that is very good. The staff speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi. The service is impeccable. The warmth of India Pakistan hospitality will not be missed. You will feel at home.
Coming to the food, I had butter chicken (you can request boneless), tawa roti (chapati, where I requested ghee on chapati), and butter naan. I was asked what spice level I would like and I went with medium spicy which was very easy on the taste buds. Also, ordered a chaach.
Coming to the food experience, it was perfect. Butter Chicken gravy was creamy with a nice texture. The chicken tasted great. The breads; chapati was huge and tasted a lot like desi tawa roti. The naan was a bit like khamiri, very soft and with a fluff. The buttermilk (chaach) was fantastic, just a hint of spice, really loved it and I strongly recommend having the chaach. I was completely full but still tried to finish as much chaach as I could.
Overall, a fantastic desi option in Nizami Street area. It will be interesting to see how it copes with rising customer base in future. Thank you for the amazing food...
Read moreWe went to this place as this was a highly rated restaurant in Google with 700+ reviews. The waitress was very sweet and recommended us some dishes. Halfway through our dinner we had a lady come and enter the restaurant to take charge at reception. At 8 pm she asked us if we want to order any more breads but the way she asked it felt like I was having dinner at 1 am and probably I was the last customer of the day. When we were presented with our bill, we had some confusion regarding the extra charge on it and hence we asked the lady at reception. To which she responded that- I don't know I just came a few minutes ago. Turns out it was added because of our driver who ordered food for himself. We politely said that we did not know that he would be ordering food and hence asked her to remove the amount from our bill. To this she responded very rudely saying that - you should have said beforehand that you will not be paying for the driver. People here always pay for the driver. I'm not sure why she assumed that we will be paying when the driver was not even sitting in the restaurant. This was my worst experience of having food at an Indian restaurant in any tourist place in the world. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
P.S. should not have dined at this place when it was empty even at peak...

We went to this place at Nizami street for Dinner. This is a Pakistani restaurant serving Indian food. The taste as well as quantity both were good. We ordered rice, alu Gobi, dal tadka, naan, a starter and water. Salad was offered free. We enjoyed the food on the first day. We were happy to find a good place for dining and hoped to come to this place for the rest of our stay.
However things were completely different the next day. We went there for breakfast. From the menu we ordered Omlette, poori sabjee and tea. The omelette did not come with bread (most restaurants in Baku offer free bread), hence when they asked if we needed bread, we said yes. We also asked to give some pickles. We were served 2 pieces of plain sliced bread without butter and 3 small pieces of mango pickle (table spoon quantity).
The scam was that whatever is not in the menu is charged exorbitantly. 2 slices of plain bread was charged 4 Manat (rs 200) and the one tablespoon pickle for 3 Manat (rs 150). Each extra poori was 3 Manat ( 3 poori rs 450). We had to pay all. However, being cheated, we never returned back to this restaurant on our next 5 days of stay.
So, beware if you are going to this restaurant, make sure you order only what is on the menu and not a single item more.
