Updated post: One bathroom has been out of service, the other has toilet water leaking all over the floor. Very unsanitary. Please help resolve this issue and report to DineSafe TO. Original post: The ambience, decor and general vibe here is great. Prices are reasonable too. Barristas are efficient and friendly. The only issue I see is the bathrooms. They really need to speak with their cleaning staff... I have been there a couple of times. When they first opened a few weeks ago, and quite recently. The bathrooms are still dirty, the toilet paper rolls are not even inserted into the dispensers, so if you need to use their facilities, you have to insert your fingers into the roll, as so does everyone else using it. Not sure if that's hygienic... Also, around the toilet bowl there's what seems to be left over urine. And the cleanliness of the sinks is not optimal. If the bathrooms were at least cleaned regularly, that would be great. Otherwise great spot!

Beautiful new location on Queens Quay next to loblaws at the waterfront! it’s perfect to stop by and read a book, study, or just on your morning walk along the water. They have tons of plant based lattes, we tried the masala chai! It was great, strong and deep flavour. They have all the dairy alternative options. Also available are pastries, muffins, and cakes. Lots of space and connected to a residential building. The ethiopian accents and afro vibe is so nice and refreshing to see. Will definitely return !

Had high hopes for Mofer. Setting and ambience is lovely! However, Batista did not seem very skilled and Flat White which is known to have double espresso only had a single shot, making the coffee quite weak. Mocha was good albeit weak. Will give them another shot as they’ve just opened but hope it doesn’t disappoint again. Small but basic things can be improved: menu does not have price, trading hours not displayed anywhere, not even on Google maps. Good selection of baked goods.

Big fan of Mofer and Ethiopian coffee in general - and thrilled to see locations popping up around the city. Love the decor, the coffee and the staff. Also glad to see the addition of a new savoury pastry option recently.

One request for this specific location: the background music needs some improvement. Its been the same set of maybe 5 songs on loop for the past year, and a bit too loud. Once you notice the songs it’s hard not to notice that they never change. I’ve found it hard to visit with friends or to focus when I want to enjoy a coffee with a book.

Can you update or expand the playlist, and possibly bring the volume down a...

I've only had the americano and I find it really lacks depth and savour. Quite expensive too: $4.75 or something after tax for a medium (more than $4.50 I remember). Really too bad because the service was excellent and the space is comfortable, clean, and it is nicely located. Also, their selection of baked goods is just ok, and lacks excitement too. Small selection that appears generic in appearance. Maybe I had bad luck. I recommend going elsewhere for a good coffee if that's what you're looking for. Perhaps their speciality drinks are what...
