The International Village Mall is a neat little shopping center filled with small niche stores. Yokoyaya (now Oomomo) is a good-sized Japanese dollar store offering useful day-today items and Asian junk food and candy. There is a nice movie theater on the top floor that stream most of the latest movies. There are small vendors on floor level which offer fake jewelry, cheap phone accessories, and small plants. The food court is alright with small stalls serving Vietnamese, Chinese, and western cuisine. The Congee Noodle Delight restaurant serves one of the best wonton noodles in the city. Another good part of my experience was the free parking. The parking lot is a good size with average size parking spots. Unfortunately, the washrooms are extremely smelly and dirty. There are sometimes used needles found in washroom stalls. Drug addicts and homeless hang out right outside the East Pender Street and Taylor Street entrances.

An odd mal for sure, and the history of the mall and the social economic impact of the area around it is always a good story to be had outside of a review. That said, food court has alot of gems, as does the occasional specialty store inside the mall. Not a mall I would come to to just walk and window shop, but definately one you go to cus of certain shops in niche segments.

This mall has been here for a long time and it’s been through a lot. It has an interesting vibe as many of the stores are vacant. There is a Starbucks on the first floor and then another food core on the second floor, and then Cineplex completely occupies the third floor (top floor). Their management uses Gmail, which doesn’t seem as professional as possible.

I like this Mall because there is free parking for 2 hours, cheap parking meters outside, bicycle locks outside, lots of security, really nice people who are at the stores to serve you and surprisingly some really good quality items ( depending on the store) as well as cheap things you can buy. So far, these are my favorite:

A super cute Cat Cafe on the top floor so you can go and pet all sorts of cats and im usually very allergic to cats and I couldn't believe that I was able to deal with it because it was soo clean and only till the end of the hour I had a little runny nose but it wasn't unbearable. This cat cafe made our day so special. 🥰

There is a big Japanese dollar store..yesterday I found eco-friendly paper large holed straws to make bubble tea for $2.99, and tnt doesn't even sell those, and they have cute socks for $2.99 !

There is a really cool African store that sells authentic jewelry, clothes, wooden sculptures, black soap, and many items made in Africa.

If you need an emergency pair of beach sandles, there is a store that sells Birkenstocks and Native brand shoes.

There is a fast food ramen soup kiosk at the top floor where the cat cafe is, and it's really good quality too.

It's close by Costco and TNT ( across the street) and a Starbucks and a sushi restaurant just down the street that is really good too.

And it has a movie theater too! I've never been there yet, but I love watching movies at the theater.

Also despite there is some poor people that are in the area and you may see them outside by the back of the mall and there they don't bother me or hurt me in anyway at all..they are humans too just like the rest of us people and if anything someone came up to me and gave me a really nice compliment and I just smiled and said...

This is a all time go too spot usually on my daily routine i have too say I'm usually pleased with the leave me alone unless Im personally seeking out help the store clerks give me at international village. Unfortunately I had a quick change in judgment for the people that work and shop at international village not because of psyical nevgitive influence of the malls Rong doing but because of the security the mall rents. Yesterday my dog Mr. And I where waiting for a ride just outside of the McDonald's when we decided too use the washroom , when I noticed a black back pack sitting in the middle of the Walk way i decided too pick it up but my better judgement made me do a lap too the entrance doors holding the bag out clear as day asking out " Is this anyone's bag " no reply so I headed on mission lol. There was nothing in the bag so I gave it too a friend I saw struggling along the way. Almost a whole hour later security rushes me outside of international village being rude accuseing me of stealing the bag now forceing my arm and twisting it more than nessasary shoveing me and squshing me and my 5 month old puppy like where garage rudly taunting me and telling me go ahead who u going too tell or call who's going too believe who. Needless too say I help the guy get his bag back anyways and inspire all that you think I got a thank you or apology. Even thoe everything was returned nope I got told too get of the property or they'll...
