Tsuki Sushi Bar is located in Chinatown, right across the street from International Village. We dropped by here for quick and simple lunch. The food was quite good and they have a good number of Vegetarian specialty rolls on their menu. I shared a Veggie California Roll and a Veggie Futomaki with someone else in the family who like me, was wanting to eat something light and at the same time Vegetarian. Veggie California Roll consisted of tofu, avocado, cucumber & balsamic sauce while the Veggie Futomaki was made of Shiitake, cucumber, spinach, kanpyo, bell pepper and Inari. Really enjoyed these two rolls. Most people think of raw fish when they think of sushi, but Vegetarian sushi can be very tasty as well and for anyone who's struggled with the words "Eat your veggies!" I find that it's an absolutely delightful way to eat my veggies! Wish more sushi restaurants would expand their Vegetarian options! Service: Good Parking: Paid parking on the street or in the underground parking lot across the street at International Village Location: 509 Abbott St., Vancouver, BC

Just overall bad experience. Cashier lady wasn’t very welcoming, and seems to be not in the mood serving people the day I visited. Miso soup was too salty, tasted like somebody put a spoon of salt on it, didn’t even finish half of it. Food was ok, atleast from the one I tried. Ordered the Beef roll with miso soup and one sashimi. I didn’t mention but there was a piece of paper on the ginger piece. Did not want to give tip with the experience I had and the cashier lady didn’t even hand me the receipt after paying and just left without saying anything. Asked if there was a washroom she just said. “It’s occupied”. The food here is cheaper than usual sushi place i’ve been to(hence why I tried it) but you also get what you pay for. No customer service skills at all from the cashier other than taking your order and taking the bill lol but maybe this was just today. Won’t recommend this place.

Bought a chirashi don and an unagi don from Tsuki. Chirashi don was great, not only was the sashimi fresh, there were also so many varieties in the box. Ikura (hidden behind the avocados), wild salmon, scallops, Hamachi, to name a few. Basically, it was a full box of sashimi, its portion was large for its price, I could barely finish all by myself, but no complaint. Unagi don is a must-order if you are a lover for unagi, the fish lays on top of the rice and stretches from the bottom left to top right of the box, as you can see in the picture. The assorted veggies are also fresh and appetizing. Each donburi also comes with a miso soup, and the soup was still hot, with steam, after I got home, 3-4 blocks away. Perfect for the winter time. For its food quality and its reasonable prices, I think Tsuki is no doubt a must-go place.

I never write bad reviews for restaurants, but the staff left me no choice.

I had the worst experience of my life at the restaurant establishment - Tsuki Sushi Bar. We waited for 15 minutes for a table - no problem at all. Once we were seated, it took another 20 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge our presence. I had a beer and my girlfriend had a soda. Again, it took about 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. Once again, no big deal, since we came early. Once we finally flagged her down (after 50 minutes of total waiting) she said "we're very busy. It will probably take over 30 minutes for your food." This is where I have an issue. Where was she when we first sat down to inform us that there is a long wait for everything and you won't get your food for a while. She never mentioned any of that until AFTER we ordered our drinks and had a total of 2 sips each. By that time, we decided to leave. Unfortunately my girlfriend forgot her expensive sunglasses on the table so she went back to retrieve them and the man working there was holding her sunglasses ransom and refused to give it back to her. In lieu of giving back her glasses, he had he audacity to ask us to pay the bill of the two drinks (in which we had two sips each) we had earlier which, remember, we would NOT had ordered ANYTHING had our server gave us the courtesy of notifying us that it is busy and the food will take 30+ min. The principle is you must notify the clients prior to them ordering if there is going to be a delay of any sort. The fact she took our order and then told us that there is longer than the usual delay is unacceptable. Customer service on all fronts, from the beginning, to when we sat down, to when it took 20 minutes to get our initial drinks, to when it took another 15 minutes to flag her down to order, to them accusing us and saying it's embarrassing we didn't pay for drinks that they THREW OUT and we only had couple sips of - was beyond atrocious. Never again. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 7 years and have never seen such a thing.

Save your money. There's about 1,000 other sushi restaurants in Vancouver that will actually respect you...

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I had come with my child for a pre show dinner and we had a solid hour before our show was due to start. The restaurant was mostly empty with people at the bar and a few of the side tables. The big table in the middle was entirely empty. There were 4-5 staff working behind the counter which usually means quick service. The food looked really good going by what I saw other people eating so I was looking forward to a delicious meal. We sat down and placed our orders and then sat there for nearly 40 minutes waiting for our food, being served only miso soup during that time.

Meanwhile we watched plate after plate of food be delivered to the 4 people sitting at the bar and takeout orders be prepped and picked up as we got hungrier and more annoyed. Finally I asked the server (who was very nice and polite but seemed a bit stressed) how much longer the wait would be and was told that they had not yet started the order and it would be a further 10-15 minutes. At that point my appetizer finally came and I asked them to cancel the rest of my order because it had been 45 minutes wait at that point and we no longer had time to eat. I was informed that they had just started preparing the first part of my daughter’s order so I had them cancel everything else so at least she would be able to eat.

I left 2 stars instead of 1 because the server was doing his best under the circumstances, but a 45 minute wait in a nearly empty restaurant with lots of staff working is ridiculous. We...

Dining at Tsuki Sushi Bar is like experiencing the art of sushi-making at its finest—each piece is crafted with such precision and care that it feels like savouring edible poetry. The sushi here is not merely a dish; it’s a delicate dance of flavours and textures, where every roll and nigiri tells a story of mastery and elegance.

Each roll is a masterpiece in its own right, with flavors woven together like a silk tapestry—creamy avocado, crisp cucumber, and succulent seafood combine in ways that are as intricate as they are satisfying. The specialty rolls, with their vibrant pops of colour and creative combinations, feel like tasting a rainbow brought to life. A drizzle of soy sauce or a hint of wasabi is like adding the final notes to a melodic symphony, enhancing, but never overpowering the core flavours.

The sushi at Tsuki Sushi Bar is an experience that transcends taste; it’s like a journey through the essence of Japanese cuisine, where each piece is a celebration of simplicity, purity, and balance. This is not just sushi—it’s a moment of culinary serenity you’ll want to savour...
