We travelled to Vancouver & Whistler for 14 Days from New Zealand, and this was the WORST experience we had at any tourist/fun location.
Why? Wait times, poor operations/organisation, and no serious thought about the customer experience for travellers.
Wait Times - We arrived at 11am on New Years Eve (that’s what their website said to do), and there was a HUGE queue. We waited, and then got told by staff that people at the front of the queue had a 2.5 hour wait, so us at the back would be unlikely to even get in for the day.
You have to arrive 1.5 hours before they even open to queue, or you’ve got no chance! This is a ludicrous waste of time! Why isn’t this stated on the website, or on signage when you arrive like at literally any other theme park that experiences this kind of foot traffic.
You can’t buy tickets until you’re all the way through the queue either. No Cash or PayWave accepted either, not clearly stated on the website either.
Poor Operations & Poor Customer Experience - The whole thing is super confusing, if you’re waiting in line, expect to be asked by 20+ groups of confused travellers and families who cannot make heads or tails of this mess.
You know what would solve all of this headache? A focus on customer experience! Let us pre-book tickets for a specific timeslot!
This would allow the tube park to manage numbers safely, AND prevent me wasting my time standing in a queue, only to be turned away or have to waste my day waiting.
Now, we DID come back the following day and queue early as suggested. That experience was a bit better, but it’s silly we have to arrive so early in the cold.
Staff were mostly friendly and the experience itself was cool.
BUT, I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting during peak times, and I will start my explanation of my experience with how poor the queue and ticket situation is.
It would be such an amazing place if they had better ticketing, queueing and communication. I hope they can...
Read moreMy family and I were very excited about travelling to Whistler for the day to enjoy bubly Tube Park. We purchased the 1 hour ticket and paid almost $100 for the 4 of us. After getting our tubes for our first ride down we ended waiting in a huge line up for 45 minutes! The kids were patient (thankfully) but very bored. It was a great day for weather, however, because we were waiting in line so long, we all ended up freezing to death. We finally got up to the top and then we had to wait another 20 minutes! It appeared to us that there were not enough lanes open for the amount of people they were selling tickets to. The attraction was moving at a slow pace (veeeery slow), that could clearly not handle the volume of people that were using it and that significantly took away from the overall experience. We then finally tubed to the bottom...it was a blast! Very fun. Looking to do another couple of runs at least to get some value for the money we spent, we went and waited in line once again. There we waited for another half hour. The staff stopped monitoring purchased times on our tickets because people were waiting so long and getting annoyed. By the time we got two runs in, 2 hours had passed , we froze to death and we were left feeling very disappointed and sad about our visit to the tube park; especially because we had come so far to experience it and were so excited about getting several exciting runs in for the kids to experience and also for the money we spent. I would highly "not recommend" this experience to anyone. Unless they clean up their customer service act SIGNIFICANTLY, it will leave you disappointed on so many levels. I suggest they 1. keep open more lanes to move people through quickly 2. have staff move the tubers a little more quickly down the lanes without compromising safety and 3. do not oversell the park. Yes the revenue is great however how we (the customer) were left feeling was very disappointed...
Read moreI cannot believe this place! So unprofessional in every sense of the word! They did not close a lane that was having its mats cleaned by an employee with some machine that had a weed Wacker motor and still sent my sister careening down the mountian. Needless to say she has a concussion and whiplash. Her helmet is badly dented I have pictures and the helmet for evidence. (helmets not required, thank God she was wearing one.) She barreled into the employee who received more medical attention than my sister. They only asked her if she was ok. Her 10 year old saw the entire thing and is traumatized. And her 14 year old was the one to walk her off the mountian. They even told my sister to go lay down in a dark room! If someone with a concussion goes to sleep they could die! That is the worst advice anyone can give! Not only that but when they called back they talked to her UNDERAGE daughter about the situation to offer a refund (we have to take our passes back! When we paid in advance! Um no. Talk to am adult) they should have asked for a parent or guardian. Or asked for my father, the one who made the reservation. All in all, don't go here unless you want to work with unprofessional children who don't have you sign a waiver or tell you dangers, or give you some sort of safety Training (hold the handle, wear a helmet) I will...
