The food here is really good! I'd never seriously considered Dubh Linn Gate because I'm celiac (severe gluten allergy). While waiting, a friend happened to talk to the host who said they had a gluten-free fryer. They also have draft cider. The location is great. Dubh is in the base of the PanPacific Mountainside facing the mountain at the base of the Excalibur gondola. They have lots of outside seating, which is nice when you're dressed for skiing and it's too warm inside OR when it's just a beautiful day and you really want to be outside. We were seated and Kim, our waitress, reassured me that I'd be fine. This made it possible to have fries, wings and other goodies that I rarely can have while dining out. We had the fries, wings, and nachos with pulled pork. WARNING: The nachos are HUGE. We're normally able to eat what we ordered, but we ended up taking home over half the nachos. Thank you to Kim for making our experience a great one!

My wife and I stopped off for a late lunch. We were immediately greeted by a friendly server and offered menus and drinks. I wasn't in the mood for Guinness, so I decided to order a Smithwick's. Really refreshing. I also ordered the steak & Guinness pie. My wife ordered the west bowl salad. The salad was absolutely ginormous. A real treat (surprise) from other restaurants that give you side salad portions as an entree. Loaded with avocado and other vegetable goodies and served over greens, then topped with a light Asian dressing. Her only small criticism was that the quinoa was very small and really unperceptible. The steak pie was also amazing. Rich and creamy with TONS of meat. The pie crust was flaky and perfect. Just like the crust my mom made for apple pie! I give this establishment an unqualified 5 star.

After enjoying the Zip Trek tour - this pub was recommended (with a 20% food discount to sweeten the deal!). The location is great - right next to the base of the lift - where you can watch the mountain-bikers jump and whiz by. We ordered nachos, chicken wings and a burger. The table was sticky, even after we asked the waitress to clean it a second time? I also went to adjust my stool and my hand was covered in a sticky substance - that was on the side of the stool. The nachos arrived - cheese was room temperature - and not properly layered. The wings were nothing to write home about..and tasted like the oil in the fryer hadn't been changed in a while. My wife had a Caesar - but didn't finish it - as it wasn't on par with other typical pub Caesars. The waitress was attentive at first - but was difficult to locate as our meal progressed. The location and beer were great, hence the 2-stars. Not coming back. I'm quite surprised at some of the great reviews for this place...

Following our zipline adventure, we were informed about a special discount at this bar if we decided to stop by for some food. Considering that we had some time to spare while waiting for a few friends to join us for dinner, we happily took up the offer. The bar provided both outdoor and indoor seating options, giving us the flexibility to choose our preferred ambiance. The service we received was friendly and welcoming, enhancing our overall experience. The food served was delicious, and they had an impressive variety of beers to choose from. It's safe to say that this place is an excellent hang-out spot, particularly for groups and individuals who appreciate a good selection of beer and tasty snacks. Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to others.

We discovered this establishment on our last day and with we would have found it on our first! The staff was super friendly and gracious, accommodating preferences. The food was very tasty while the portions were oversized. My son had the appetizer wings as his main, said they were very good, and had about half an order to take home. My daughter had a chicken sandwich which she really liked. My husband ordered the fish & chips and he also enjoyed his meal. As for me, I ordered The chop salad and ate half of it there and took the other half for dinner because it was so big and filling. If we return to Whistler this will certainly be a place we will frequent more than once.

I wanted to love this so much. The atmosphere is amazing. Love the decor and every thing. Our food was just okay. The kids meals they didn't enjoy, I ordered the steak and Guinness pie, one single piece of steak in it. When I said something to the waitress she blew me off and said something about the steak finely shredded within the rest. My pie was 90% sweet potato tasting. I thought I was being picky but the three other adults with me tried it and did not like. The poutine was cold unfortunately. Cheese was fridge cold. Their burgers were okay. The beer variety was great and the other servers were friendly ours was just having an off day.
