iSquare is one of a handful of shopping malls within short walking distance in Tsim Sha Tsui, providing visitors with yet more opportunities to browse Hong Kong malls and shops and spend money.

What is interesting about this mall is its height and vertical layout. The mall occupies a tower and is over 30 floors high. When it opened, this was the tallest mall in the world although I'm not sure if it continues to hold this distinction or not.

A visit to ISquare, means less time walking and browsing each floor and much more time on escalators which are constantly carrying visitors up and down individual floors, making a bit of a maze out of this mall. Shops are more mid-range compared to the likes of Harbour City on Canton Road. You'll find a handful of restaurants and expected coffee shops, the likes of Starbucks.

Personally, I don't care for this mall as much as others. The escalator arrangements are too regular and are more functional than aesthetically pleasing. In short, they are practical but dull. There is also little open space in iSquare, instead having tightly configured floors, that don't open up for the most part. This is similar to the main floors of Harbour City, compared to the traditional open mall format you can find at places like nearby K11 Art Concept Mall.

In the end, just another mall in TST, worth a quick visit if you are curious about the height and large number of short escalator rides you can take here.

Note: If you are looking for a mall to do a bit of walking when weather is poor outside you'll probably want to visit one of the others in the area instead. Too much time here standing on escalators...

Standing tall in one of Hong Kong’s most popular shopping districts, iSQUARE offers a welcome break from the teeming streets of Tsim Sha Tsui that fringe it. Wander in to enjoy a wide range of fashion, jewellery, lifestyle and beauty brands, as well as fine dining with 270-degree harbour views on the higher floors, with more casual eating available on the lower ones. Retailers include HMV, Marks & Spencer, LOG-ON, Futbol Trend and 20 jewellery and watch shops. The mall’s IMAX cinema is the biggest in Hong Kong.

iSquare is a modern shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui that tends to be quieter and less crowded compared to other malls in the area, which might not be a great sign for its popularity as a shopping destination. However, it does offer a good variety of dining options on the higher floors, ranging from casual eateries to more upscale restaurants, many with nice views of the city. While shopping options are somewhat limited, it’s worth visiting for its diverse cuisines and relaxed atmosphere.
