Joyous Gate — Restaurant in Kowloon

Gave 1 star for the view and 1 star for the food but 0 stars for the service. I wasn’t told the 90-min dining limit at the reservation call. Service ladies kept reminding us the limit as we seated. We were even warned right after orders made that we wouldn’t have enough time to finish so many dishes. It was upsetting and extremely impolite. Come on…it is Chinese yum chai dim sum lunch for big group of people on round table probably to spend a couple of hours chit chatting reading news as tradition.

2 hours later we left at 1:30pm, there were empty tables to serve, no customers waiting at the store front. Why upset people like that without any respect...

This chained Cantonese restaurant occupied two floors and the 25th floor was smaller but suitable for functional events for about 100 persons. Average quality food. Had classic dim sum dishes. Best was the shrimp toast - recommend. Service was very good. Ask for WiFi from one of the head waiters. Atmosphere is nice and clean. Not too noisy. 25th floor so most tables have a decent view - even if not next to the window. Bathroom is clean and handicapped friendly. Order via the website -...
