Morty's is a NYC style deli located at the Jardine House in Central. They have an open seating area and offer take-away and delivery for those who prefer to eat from the comfort of their area office, home or hotel. Opening hours 8am to 9pm (Mon-Fri), 11am to 8pm (Sat) and closed on Sundays.

First and foremost, Morty's is pastrami specialist and probably our very best option in the city for those missing their Katz or other NYC delicatessan. pastrami is slow-cooked and tastes pretty good at this branch as well as their place on Star Street in Wanchai.

This Morty's opens a bit early and has a small range of breakfast items available on their menu as well. I recently ordered their Bagel & Lox, which was pretty good. Bagel quality was decent, smoked salmon tasted good, onions and chive cream cheese just fine. Would have been better with capers and a splash of lemon but still a pretty good Lox on par with our better bagel shops in the Central and...

Never disappoints! Not my first time here, if I can get out early for lunch (12pm) and looking for a nice sandwich and/or sweet potato fries, Morty's it is. I've tried many of their sandwiches and none of them have disappointed me thus far. And with every sandwich, I will always ask for sweet potato fries on the side. All sandwich comes with a pickle on the side, I remember you can ask for more if you are a pickle person. The portions are huge, and you can always choose to have the sause on the side if you don't want it mixed into the sandwich. They serve coffee, soft drinks, or alcohol. Great as a sports bar cuz they got TVs and bar seats. This place is almost always crowded after 12:30pm for lunch. Their staff are friendly...

The building is located at 1 Connaught Place, Central on Hong Kong Island. It is owned by Hongkong Land Limited, a subsidiary of Jardines. At the time of its completion in 1972, Jardine House was the tallest building in Hong Kong and in Asia. In 1980, the Hopewell Centre usurped the title of the tallest building in Hong Kong. The building is interconnected by the Central Elevated Walkway with buildings of Hongkong Land Limited like Exchange Square and the International Finance Centre. Jardine House (first building from the right) is located in the central business district on Hong Kong Island, next to (from left to right) the BOC Tower, Cheung Kong Center and the HSBC Building. Taken in May 2009. The new building was constructed on a piece of reclaimed land, under a lease term of 75 years, which was secured by Hongkong Land Limited at a record price of HK$258 million in 1970, payable interest free over a period of 10 years.[7] In exchange, the Government agreed that no building directly to the north of Jardine House would ever be built to obstruct its views. As a result, the height of General Post Office building was capped at 120 ft (37 m).[8] Building costs were estimated at $120 million.[7] Construction of the fifty-two-storey building took 16 months. Metal lettering from the Old Jardine House was salvaged and used in the lobby of the New Jardine House.
