Cafe Causette used to be my favorite casual dining place. they had huge loaves of bread, delicious food, specifically the Hainan chicken rice, and fantastic service. however, they have changed for the worst. i came back after a few months of traveling just to find out that the bread loaves has shrunk 50% in size, there are no more chocolates and cookies to go with the coffee, the pesto sauce to go with the bread has been replaced with cheap olive oil, the Hainan chicken rice has become salty that i couldn’t even finish it, the waiters didn’t offer a glass of water, the scones shrunk 50% in size and weren’t cooked well, and waiters were walking around looking at their phones. sad to say that the service is overall inattentive and not up to par for the kind of service i would expect from the Mandarin Oriental. i’m super disappointed in the lack of training from the staff. it took the waiters 10 minutes to bring me the bill after asking 5 times. not to mention, the booth chairs were full of crumbs when i was seated and i was left to remove them by myself. the food and service is not of good value to your money i would not recommend coming until they improve...

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere wraps you in warmth and style—but what truly stands out is the service, with that personal touch that makes you feel right at home.

A place to return to, without a doubt. If you’re in Hong Kong and you enjoy great tea, kind service, and an unforgettable sweet bite, this...
