after their free walking tours in Bogota and Medellin, I was ready to give them a five star interview. however, then I trusted their service and booked the paid Guatape trip with them and was disappointed.

the communication is just poor for this trip for some reason. no response for the whole day then when I finally heard back, I was booked on the wrong date... the night before my tour I received conflicting pick up information from two different people and they kept messaging me after I had already went to sleep to prepare for the early pick up. the confusion continued to this morning when one person showed up before the scheduled pick up time. I rushed downstairs then they just left without telling me. then they continued to ignore my messages and calls so I was left stranded this morning at my hotel not knowing what's going on.

I was told that this tour is bilingual but the English explanation is woefully lacking. I appreciate the guide trying but she speaks so fast that it's hard to understand. the other person on the bus only speaks Spanish so we had no idea what he kept saying during the drives and no one bothered to translate it for us on this 'bilingual" tour. it just interrupted our naps on the bus.

I messaged the two different people who told me different pickup times and also Andrea multiple times both last night and this morning. it's just a frustrating experience and not how you want to feel when you're trying to enjoy a trip on a foreign country.

their walking tours are amazing with great guides: Daniel in Bogota and Manuel in Medellin. my day trip to Lake Guatavita and salt cathedral was...

We booked free walking tours with them in Medellin and Bogota. Absolutely loved our experiences. Both of our guides were fantastic, very informative, and friendly.

In Medellin, we did the Colombian Conflict walking tour with Manu. Manu was very knowledgeable, fun, and enthusiastic. He took us around downtown Medellin and told us a lot of interesting stories. He also gave us plenty of local recommendations as we were walking the streets. He took us to view points, historic buildings, streets with plenty of local food options, all the while talking about conflict in Colombia across periods of time. He was very passionate about the topic and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend booking this tour with Manu.

In Bogota, we did the La Candeleria / Downtown walking tour with Natalia. If it's your first day in Bogota, then this tour should be the first thing to do. It's a great way to explore what the downtown area has to offer and learn a bit about the history. Natalia took us around to all the major spots in La Candeleria and told a...

I attended the War & Peace Tour guided by Lucho in October 2025 in Bogotá. This tour is offered only in English. Lucho has perfect command of the language, is knowledgeable, honest, and passionate about the topic and sharing it with his tour guests. As an attendee, you acquire knowledge of Colombia’s recent history, key events and key actors leading to the conflict, violence, and peace agreement. No sugar coating, no finger pointing. The guide had an easy to understand picture book with maps, and key images to understand and retain information as he gave the lecture. It was easy to book the tour, find the meeting point, be checked-in and paired with corresponding guide. All reference points were in a small radius. I truly enjoyed the thoroughness and unrushed approach of Lucho, there was time for questions and I appreciated how he quickly and directly related all conversation and inquiry back to the topic at hand. Thank you Lucho, thank you...

We did several tours with Beyond Colombia during our stay in Bogotá, all of which were excellent. The city tour with Patricia was great, as we got to learn about the history of the city and sample some cicha! The food tour with Santiago was equally fun. He was very friendly and personable, a great tour guide. We got to try so many tasty Colombian snacks and desserts. The highlight was the hot chocolate and cheese! Lastly, we did the war and peace tour with Camilo. This tour was one of the highlights of our Colombia trip. It is done very professionally and tastefully (unlike a lot of the tours in Medellín). The topics discussed are very sad and heavy, but it is definitely worth booking this tour if you want to understand more about the history of Colombia. You also have some free time to explore a couple of the local markets and try some coca leaves. It truly is a great company, offering exceptional tours. I can’t recommend them enough!

The store is definitely worth going to especially since it's free. well technically it's not free it's a tip based organization but at the end of the day you decide which is always amazing and I love these types of tours. This specific walking tour had a lot more information than I expected. Didn't go to a lot of places but the places that we did go to wear very significant to Bogota. If you want to know the history this is definitely the tour you need to go to. A tour guide was a good guy who studied the effects of chicha ( the local liquor) and give us the rundown on what it is and how it's made. then we walked through the streets that are well-known and significant plus all the free museums. of course my favorite museum of all the botero museum. And although we didn't go inside the gold museum he definitely did recommend it especially since it has such a historical significance and it's our actual meeting point.

I recently took Erik's free walking tour of Bogotá, and it was an excellent experience. Erik is a knowledgeable and passionate guide who is clearly excited to share his city with others. He was very informative, providing us with interesting historical facts and insights into the local culture. He was also very friendly and approachable, making the tour enjoyable and engaging. One of the things that I really appreciated about Erik's tour was that he was very respectful of our time. He started and ended the tour on time, and he was always mindful of the fact that we were on a free walking tour. He also did a great job of keeping the group moving, so we were able to see a lot of different parts of the city. I would highly recommend Erik's free walking tour to anyone who is visiting Bogotá. It is a great way to get a good overview of the city and to learn about its history and culture.
