We did the Game of Thrones tour and our guide Edi was excellent and knowledgable. He was very funny and engaging, keeping the group laughing throughout, and taught us about both local history and the Game of Thrones connections. Because Edi lived in Dubrovnik while GoT was filming and worked on the set, he was able to provide a lot of interesting behind the scenes info and stories and it was great doing the tour with a true fan. I had worried I wouldn't remember the show well enough to recognize the locations, but Edi had a great book showing scenes from the show and would compare the shots to the actual filming location so we could see exactly how those sites fit into the show! It's amazing to see how much the producers used the existing elements of the city and really feels like you are in King's Landing because of it, which made the tour kind of magical. I also enjoyed learning the history of Dubrovnik, which is a fascinating city!
Bring water and sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes. Edi suggested we save money by getting the Dubrovnik Pass since it includes entry to Fort Lovrijenac, which is one of the best parts of the tour, and then you can walk the wall the same day. The tour starts at the fountain in front of the Franciscan Monastery Museum, which is also included in the day pass and has a beautiful courtyard where you can walk around and stay...

Joseph didn’t just point out filming locations—he brought them to life. With his iPad, he showed us the exact scenes filmed in each spot, weaving in fascinating behind-the-scenes stories, fun trivia, and even local history that made everything so much richer.
What really stood out was how engaging he was. Joseph had the perfect mix of humor, storytelling, and insider knowledge—making us feel like we were walking through the Seven Kingdoms themselves. He also went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the group was comfortable, involved, and having fun.
Whether you’re a die-hard Game of Thrones fan or just someone curious about Dubrovnik’s history and beauty, Joseph makes the experience unforgettable. He truly elevated the tour from great to absolutely exceptional.

Read moreThis person works at Select Dubrovnik d.o.o. Tours and said they also work at other companies. If she is also employed by you, please take her deplorable behavior into account. We took a tour to Bosnia and were assigned a tour guide named Lora, who was arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. Throughout the trip, she kept her feet on the seat, and I was sitting right next to her, which made it quite unpleasant to see her feet the whole time. Additionally, one of her friends was also on the tour, and she was constantly late. Lora would wait for her, delaying the entire group, but she demanded punctuality from everyone else. It was very disappointing to witness this kind of behavior from a tour guide working for a company that is supposed to be professional. Moreover, Lora was wearing a short dress and the way she sat was completely inappropriate, especially considering that the tour environment was family oriented. She should be trained properly taught manners, ethics, education, and...
