On our last day in France, Lara assisted us in preparing the tax refund form for merchandise we had purchased at Galeries Lafayette Bordeaux. During the process, we noticed that the computer system had printed an incorrect passport expiration date on the form. Lara promptly corrected the mistake without hesitation.
Upon learning that the same error appeared on two additional tax refund forms from other stores we had visited earlier that day, Lara went above and beyond. She took the initiative to contact those stores directly and guided their staff through the process of correcting the errors and issuing new forms for us — all while ensuring we were well taken care of before our flight the next day via Bordeaux International Airport.

I was picking from a brand I have used since years ago (sloggi), so I know my size, and this lady wanted to help me. I said thanks, I didn't need it, but she insisted on "helping" me, which was basically body shaming, telling me that there was no way I would fit in the sizing I was picking...I said I am OK, don't worry, I know my size. However not happy with the initial body shaming she kept going and said, "but how long ago you wore that size because there is no way you fit an L now and you are over XL". My partner who was with me told her I didn't need help and that she was not helping...I was a bit shocked, feeling really bad, and she continued by saying, "I am just trying to help because I have no idea how you could think you would fit in L...we probably don't even have your size". I decided not to buy from the brand. It was a horrible experience of body shaping, and yes, I do wear L, and even if I don't, it was not of her business, and nobody asked her for help. For people like her is that so many women suffer from body dysmorphia and I hope no woman or girl encounters ever this woman. Never again...
Read moreStaff is very arrogant and not helpful at all. For TAX refund they claim that it is not possible if the item is on sale. Every other shop in Bordeaux and France in general were very helpful providing all receipts and documents needed except for galeries Lafayette. They were extremely rude and not professional handling the issue, I had to refund items because of the staff ignorance of process and how to handle TAX issues. I wouldn’t recommend this shop especially when you can find same items in other shops only better service Update - thank you Sabrina for your response, I was actually referring to your attitude leaving us on the counter as you decided our conversation is over! Regarding the actual tax refund issue all others retailers managed to provide their discounts and offers through similar loyalty programmes in addition to tax refund which is what your team originally offered in the male section.
