A place to avoid. The food and service were horrible, with water coming only after the main course was served, despite an empty restaurant with only two tables seated. Shoyu and miso ramen were made in bland water with no difference in taste between the two dishes and were served cold, with the noodles clumped together and overcooked. The piece of meat inside resembled and tasted like the sole of a shoe. When we complained about the temperature the server took them back and we could hear they were being microwaved, and yet they still came back lukewarm at best. The rice in teriyaki don was overcooked, soggy, and in clumps, with hard meat on top. The place was empty, only one other table occupied, yet waiting times were extremely long.

I asked for the chef and showed him the clump of noodles, all I got was a shrug and insincere “sorry”.

Food was inedible and we couldn’t finish it, yet still had to...

Is Iza by Kura considered an “exotic” restaurant? Their food and service were catastrophic! We ordered: teriyaki chicken with rice, syoyu ramen, miso ramen, and edamame. We were shocked by partially cold teriyaki chicken with really cold rice, as if just taken out of a fridge. Ramen was made of thick, but tasteless hot-brown-water with overcooked noodle, no taste at all (not even a hint of miso or soy sauce). Soggy edamame was covered with too much salt. Our server brought empty glasses to hold our paper napkins. Nobody brought our drinks or even water during the time (30 mins to order, 45 mins to get our food, and a few secs to stop eating). This is a small restaurant with 5 small tables taken. No apologies from the staff when I spoke to them. We saw two other groups of customers formally...

Fantastic ramen and sake shop run by Kura. After moving to Paris, I spent years in vain trying to find good ramen comparable to back home. Finally found it in this neighbourhood restaurant. It has now become our go to place. As of April 2022, the ramen selection is small (4 in total with 2 chicken and 2 beef based broth with either shoyu or miso tare with either chicken, beef or marinated eggplant topping and a variety of optional toppings). Each ramen is delicious. The teriyaki don was delicious as well and the rice was cooked to perfection. We discovered some good sake as well and we managed to pick up two bottles at their sister shop nearby...

Nouilles de ramen vraiment beaucoup trop cuites !! Et le bouillon était sans saveur…. Je n’arrive pas à croire que c’est par le restaurant Kura !!! I cannot believe this is by Kura, a well-reputed high-end Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood. The ramen noodles are way over-cooked, and the ramen broth was bland… It didn’t taste much better than instant noodles I make at home…. However the soft-boiled marinated egg (tamago) was very good.
