St. Nicholas Church in Frankfurt is a beautiful and historic place of worship that is well worth a visit for anyone interested in the city's rich cultural history. Located in the heart of Frankfurt's Old Town, this Gothic-style church dates back to the 14th century and has been a central part of the city's cultural landscape for centuries. One of the standout features of St. Nicholas Church is its stunning architecture, which combines elements of Gothic, Baroque, and Rococo styles. The exterior of the church is adorned with intricate carvings and decorations, while the interior features a series of soaring arches and colorful stained glass windows. In addition to its architectural beauty, St. Nicholas Church is also home to a number of important works of art, including several statues, paintings, and tapestries. The altar, in particular, is a work of art in its own right, adorned with intricate carvings and gold leaf. Overall, St. Nicholas Church is a must-see for anyone interested in the history and culture of Frankfurt. Its beauty and grandeur are truly breathtaking, and it serves as a testament to the enduring power of faith. Whether you are a tourist or a local, I highly recommend paying a visit to this beautiful and historic church

This is a Lutheran church at Römerberg that dates back to the Middle Ages. It was first constructed in the mid-12th century. However, the building you see today is from the the 15th century is Gothic in architecture. Luckily the church mostly survived WWII air raids with only minor damage allowing us to view the majority of the church exterior and interior as it was in centuries past. Well worth a brief visit while sightseeing around Old Town.

Lovely little church. Has a very quiet and pure Energy to sit and meditate. Simple structure, very beautiful with a tower visible from a short distance outside. At the edge of the Christmas markets which open tomorrow. There is a nice restaurant right behind it. A couple of souvenir shops and of course coffee shops. Cobbled courtyard. Perfect setting for the markets.
