Schwarzer Stern — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Our waiter was very kind. I have dietary restrictions and the menu here lists many with consideration so you can see what is in the food without having to ask (including pork for those who are halal or kosher and have difficulty finding places that respect this. I am not, but know some restaurants will lie about this due to friends having bad experiences. You don't need to worry about that here).

I let him know there is something I want but there is an ingredient I cannot digest in it. He told me "No problem, we make everything fresh here. If you do not want to eat something you do not have to - whatever you want we can do it" and asked what I would like to substitute the ingredient I cannot have with.

I have never had a restaurant go so above and beyond as to substitute an ingredient I cannot eat for one I can. At best they will remove it and charge me the same. Many will refuse to make alterations at all. This was a wonderful experience to have, and for people who have difficulties with food allergies or Intolerance this is a welcoming place.

It's nice to be able to eat a meal I did not make myself knowing it will not make me sick. I know other people with food issues can understand the sentiment. People with religious restrictions surely can as well. If I could give over 5...

I had lunch yesterday and one of the server tried to SCAM me. My trip went bad because of him. I hope the owner of this restaurant read this, and i write this for the other asian tourists too. (future victims)

I had lived in Germany, so i can speak better german than him(the server) and know the german culture well. I have visited german restaurants so many times but never ever experienced this scam in Germany. (even lived in Frankfurt too)

Maybe he just thought me i am a dumb tourist from asia who would be easily scammed.

He charged me Tip 10 euros suddenly without asking my opinion. (He told me the total amount first without showing bill paper)

I know how much i have to pay, so when I asked him WHY i have to pay 10euros more, he shouted me and told me this is the Restaurant’s Regeln(Policy)

HAHAHA I asked him that i want to talk to the other restaurant’s worker about this.

Of course he never took me to the other colleages, and he told me very rudely how much i want to pay.

Hey, did i something wrong to you? why you have such a rude behavior? I gave you tips even I didnt want to. You even didnt say good-bye to me even i said to you thankyou.

Plus, the food was not worthy for the price. I would not recommend this...

Der Empfang ist freundlich und man bekommt sofort einen schönen Platz zugewiesen. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ,nach der fast zweijährigen, gelungenen Renovierung, sehr ansprechend und in einem traditionellen und hochwertigen Stil. Die Speisekarte bietet einerseits eine moderne, innovative aber auch eine traditionelle Küche auf der anderen Seite. Der Service ist sehr kundenorientiert. D.h. : aufmerksam, freundlich, zuvorkommend, aber niemals aufdringlich. Genauso wie man es in einem Restaurant in dieser Kategorie erwarten kann. Vorher wird ein Amuse Bouche gereicht, bevor recht zügig der georderte Hauptgang nebst den Getränken serviert wird. Das Team ist für den Gast jederzeit ansprechbar und man merkt, dass sie gerne für einen da sind. Ich habe so viel Höflichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit schon lange nicht mehr in der Gastronomie durchgehend erlebt. Großes Kompliment! Das von mir bestellte „Wiener Schnitzel“ konnte meine Erwartungen zu 100% erfüllen.

Ich habe dem „Schwarzen Stern“ am 3.Advent meinen dritten Besuch abgestattet. Ich kann meine Eindrücke nur immer wieder bestätigen: gleichbleibend aufmerksamer, freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service! Ebenso ist die Qualität der Speisen gleichermaßen auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Ich hatte mich dieses Mal für das Jägerschnitzel entschieden und mir die Soße separat reichen lassen. Anstatt der Bratkartoffeln, habe ich mir Pommes frites dazu bestellt. Änderungen des in der Karte beschriebenen Gerichtes sind überhaupt kein Problem, was ich als grosses Plus empfinde. Resümee: ein rundum gelungener Besuch, dem mit Sicherheit noch mehrere folgen werden!

Erneut konnte ich mich heute (25.Feb.24) von der vorzüglichen Küche und dem Top Service vom „Schwarzen Stern“ überzeugen. Ich hatte mich heute für die „mit Spinat gefüllte Maispoularde“ entschieden und kann dem Gericht mit gutem Gewissen eine 10 von 10 geben. Hervorragend im Geschmack und in der Präsentation in Kombination mit der Parmesan Polenta! Der Service (wie anfangs schon erwähnt) war /ist kontinuierlich auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Aufmerksam und Service orientiert, aber niemals aufdringlich. Durchaus erwähnenswert finde ich auch die sanitären Einrichtungen. Sie sind stets in einem sehr sauberen Zustand vorzufinden und natürlich auch im Rahmen der bereits erwähnten Renovierung/Sanierung komplett neu gestaltet worden. Ich freue mich schon auf den...
