Would not recommend it at all. Stayed here twice in July - received no upgrade, despite having upgradable rooms available both times. They refuse to upgrade their elite members unless they have 5 or more upgradable rooms. Luckily, most Marriott properties are following the terms and conditions of their loyalty programme - and they are more than happy to upgrade their members. Lame excuse from "crewleader" in an follow-up e-mail.
Service issues - my room was not serviced by housekeeping during my stay (no idea if this is a policy or not), asked reception for more toiletpaper and soap - was told it would be brought to my room. It never arrived. Called down to the reception using my cellphone, nobody answered. Then I tried to order it through the app - but nothing happened. Then I tried via their chatfunction, but to no avail. I gave up and went to bed, as I was tired. The next morning, at 8 AM, I received a reply saying that it would be brought to my room immediately. Guess what - that didn't happen either! I am amazed, how can it be so extremely hard to provide such simple things in a timely manner?
On my second stay I noticed that there were pieces of tobacco on the table next to the bed. No big deal, but not very appetizing - especially not during these times, when cleanliness is very important.
When I was checking out after my first stay I noticed that they hadn't applied the Bonvoy-vouchers to my folio - then they claimed I had chosen the points on check-in. I did not. It was corrected, and I received a cashback after 2-3 days.
Two good things about the hotel - location is great, and the guys working nightshift are very friendly.
This Moxy does not reflect the Moxy-brand in a good way. I do appreciate the brand, and have had only great stays in previous locations, such as Glasgow, Berlin, Warszawa, etc - with nice upgrades, great treatment and very cheerful and hospitable staff - I assume this is due to great management. This was the main reason why I booked this hotel. I haven't lost my faith in the brand, but won't book this one again. I have noticed in an response to a previous review they claimed that they had focused on "member appreciation" - just empty words!
There are an array of great hotels in Frankfurt - this is simply not...
Read moreOne of the cleaning personnel ( Amir or Amish I can’t rememver the name exactly) has stolen my car key that is parked downstairs at the hotel. When I realized my car key was missing, I checked the room and my luggage 5 times before making any accusations. After I went to reception desk. One of the reception girls said that she will check the garbage and see if by mistake the man took it and threw it away and after 20 min she confirmed she checked and is nothing there. After my partner insisted to be checked again, the reception girl knock at the door and she ask us if you want to assist her to check the garbage again. In the first 5 seconds we found the key. We think the key was planted there like it was a simple mistake. All this activity of searching and asking for help took us 3 hours. Initially my car key was left on the left hand side on the wooden shelf near 2 empty glasses and some trash. The garbage from my room was not taken, only the bed was made and my key missing, that's why I considered it wasn't a mistake. We confronted the cleaner and the cleaner told me specifically that he did not see a key ( so he lied because it was found in the big blue trash bag). I find this absolutely unacceptable, it has caused me a lot of stress. Beside this, when I first checked in I got charged twice by the receptionist because she didn’t check that I have actually paid the hotel through Expedia App. Your staff was very unprofessional and just didn’t want to help me. If I wouldn’t have insisted to check that again I probably would never find out. I really hope that this hasn’t happened to anyone else. I went to the police and field a...
Read moremy collegues and I recently had at one of your establishments, the Moxy Frankfurt City Centre. While I typically regard Marriott as a trusted and reputable hotel brand, our recent stay has left us shaken and disappointed in the level of service and professionalism demonstrated by the hotel staff, particularly the duty manager. On Friday 15th September, my collegues and I checked into the Hotel in Frankfurt, eagerly anticipating a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Regrettably, our experience quickly deteriorated due to an incident involving the hotel manager, named Schiar Hussien. After my collegue was arguing with one of the hotel staff due to late sevice for a coffee, We were subjected to a distressing display of aggression and racism when the manager openly made discriminatory comments directed at all of us, stating, "I hate these people," in reference to Arabs. He said this infront of other hotel staff who can witness this incident. When confronted with what he did, not only did he not apologise, but was defending his actions. A horrible display of hospitality. As Arab individuals, we were not only shocked but deeply hurt by this blatant act of racism, which is entirely unacceptable and inexcusable in any establishment, let alone one as reputable as Marriott. Our expectations when staying at Marriott chain hotels are based on the brand's commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and exceptional customer service. We were appalled to have such a negative encounter that contradicted these principles. We had fully paid for our rooms and expected to be treated with respect and dignity...
