Amazing ambience with the place being well designed. Thats the only nice words I have to say about that restaurant. The disappointment starts right at the moment the orders are about to be taken. The waiter kept coming and pushing us to make the order whilst their QR code menu took a bit to be opened. After 2-3 min he came back saying we need to order right now or else he wont be able to take the order at all( imagine such an attitude! with the restaurant 80% empty such behavior is unacceptable). We obviously didn’t manage to look throughout the menu and were only able to pick 3 positions from the appetizers and one main course. Food was just ok and our fish was way overcooked and tasteless- trust me this fish died for nothing. What brought my attention was how arrogant staff was and how quickly they wanted to get rid of us. Everything was delivered literally within a seconds, without caring if we might wanna have a 1-2 min break between our appetizer and main course, our glasses were constantly being overfilled- not because they were empty or half empty but because they wanted to rush us into leaving the table. We finished our unfortunate experience in approximately 20 min and whilst heading out to exit the manager asked us if we enjoyed our evening. Without hesitation we addressed all the issues from a-z and as a person owning similar type of business I could point out endless mistakes they are doing. The manager pretended to be shocked and said there was no such a complaints before and all seems to be ok. Not apologetic at all and acting surprised. Not even simple sorry. To summarize AVOID this place there is lots of nicer restaurants in Santorini with both amazing view and food but without arrogant and pretentious staff...
Read morePretentious place with staff talking down on you. We were group of 4 wanting to have drinks after dinner. As soon as we entered the guy at the entrance had a bit of stuck up attitude. We got a table upstairs on the roof. The girl who escorted us upstairs was very pleasant. Hence, we decided to overlook the attitude of the first guy. Our waiter was a tall guy with short hair, he was pleasant but not overly friendly. The decoration was nice as you can see from the picture. It was airy, spacious place. Definitely beautiful at sunset I’m sure. Unfortunately, there was a short/medium height waiter with greying hair who ruined our whole experience. He was walking past out table (mind you he wasn’t even our waiter), we ordered the same drinks again and he just rolled his eyes and made a frowning smirk as if we were not good enough to be there or have his attention. He came back with the drinks but it tasted differently, so we asked if it is the same alcohol as the one we have ordered the first time around. He straight away said ‘As you can see around the restaurant we provide best service and take great care of our customers. You’re very safe here, there is no need to worry!’ He literally made us feel unwelcome and looked down on us. As if we can’t afford the place. It’s extremely sad how some staff think just because they work at somewhat decent place, they act as if they own the place! Absolutely disgusting! Shallow minded people like him should not be in a service industry! Sadly I didn’t see that a lot of people complained about the service before I went...
Read moreThank goodness we ignored the negative reviews for this location and listened to the recommendation of Georg Pantella Suites in Fira! Quickly got there by cab! ;-) We have experienced it like most 5 star reviews. A nice, unobtrusive and friendly service. Absolutely unique view. Sourdough bread and tarama at its best! Even with the appetizer we were in 7th gourmet heaven. Octopus as tender as butter, an Aged Rice with Crayfish, well the portion was given as an appetizer I could have eaten a whole bowl. So we still had enough room for a Guinea Fowl and a Striploin, tender, tender ,more tender it does not go. The dessert was equally fantastic, various little works of art which melded together, simultaneously mashed in the palate, to create a unique explosion of flavor. Not to forget the wine list! We indulged ourselves with a fine Cabernet from Napa. There was even a fine Averna Amaro to finish. A beautiful sunset, in the midst of a satisfied crowd of guests who obviously enjoyed the evening as we did. Thanks to the kitchen and service team of NAOS. The silent observer has also noticed that the glasses, crockery, cutlery and of course the processed products in the kitchen are of a first class quality. For connoisseurs and romantics in love with quality demands an...
