I visited the Museo de Santa Bárbara and absolutely loved it. It’s a small museum on a tiny island just off Flores—you get there by a quick boat ride, which was really fun! The museum itself has a mix of Mayan artifacts, colonial items, and local history which is awesome to learn about.
What made the visit extra great was Pamela, our guide. She was super sweet, easy to talk to, and full of interesting facts and stories about the region. You could tell she really cares about the history and enjoys sharing it!
Make sure to check out the gift shop as well - really unique, hand made items in there!
