We stayed in a double room for 2 nights. ||The room had poor ventilation - it was stuffy inside, and with no mosquito nets in the windows you couldn't really open them. At least the fan got that stale air moving a bit.||The water heater in the shower had wires sticking out looking like a poor DIY job. Read moreI was here for 2 nights during my visit to the Peten, Guatemala area in northern Guatemala. This place is right across the street, from the pier and the lake. The views are spectacular, particularly from the higher floors. The people at the facility are reasonably friendly. Their reception and dining area are spacious, but they don't have much food besides vending machine fare. The pools are pretty, but are not turned on or open during the winter time. The hostels are quite cramped up and noisy, and not well-ventilated. The bathrooms were leaking and were not properly cleaned. The facilities and services offered were definitely not worth $20 per person.||||I recommend this place only as a backup option to anybody in the area looking for a home away from home when visiting the Peten area and the myriad of wonderful sights the place...
